Bought the Samsung Screen Protector which comes with two included. Watched the video multiple times, prepared meticulously and executed and bubbles everywhere. Tried everything. Couldn't get below 2 bubbles, one quite big. Two hours later there are 5 or 6 bubbles.

Can't see how we could have done it any differently.

Not too happy right now.

Get the 4 dollar ones from AliExpress. Comes with 2 and is so easy to install.

@nebuz:

...

Out of interest how is the kickstand on the tough armour?

Yes, looks and feels flimsy.  Looks as though it wouldn't take much of a bump to break it.  And I suspect it could be easily broken if the phone was put down on it back too heavily while open so need to make sure it is clipped back in place when not in use.

Having said all that, I have not put the above to the test so the above is just gut feeling.  Perhaps the hinge end would just pop out and be easily put back in?

In my case only likely to get occasional use so not a big issue for me, other than that I have taken care the few times I used it so far.  Otherwise it works fine (landscape only).  Its all plastic so no spen issues due to magnetic close.

This user indicates that the kickstand on the tough armour cases pops off but is easily popped back in (Pixel 3 experience).

Followed @heavenlywild advice and have 'lashed out' on a set of cheap offshore SP's (4 for $8.04 USD once GST added).  Opted for hydrogel option based on someone else's recommendation.

Likely to take some time to arrive though

Same. AliExpress for me. None of them said much about case compatibility, so we'll see.
Got the Zagg one I could get locally in store on there for now and after trimming the corner it's sort of lifting still, but will do for a while. Still a shame as it actually feels really good to use.

Anyone else still waiting on a S22 green?

Pre-ordered and has been stuck on processing the whole time.. E-store is not very helpful at all, bit of a shambles.

Has anybody used Smart Switch coming from a non-Samsung phone?

Looking at how to transfer messages etc from a Huawei to Samsung. Not really worried about pics etc as these can easily be copied over.

Yes, works fine, but you can also do this with various utilities which are free from the app store like SMS Backup and Restore which is an excellent tool.

My Samsung SP just arrived, hopefully I won't have the same issue when installing it tonight.

Installed mine with no issues, almost perfectly tbh, however, I've noticed that the left and right edges are coming off/not sticking. Not sure if others are experiencing this on the Ultra model, or if it's because of my UAG cover.

What a difference a few hours make! Internet went down this morning (and still is) so went into our local Vodafone shop to pick up a SIM for an old usb vodem we have for temp alternate internet access (another story).

Since my el cheapo Ebay screen protectors are probably 2 months off, I walked over to the nearby NL store to see if they had the Samsung film protectors in stock. No.

So I discussed the problems that @nebuz had fitting the Zagg XTR, plus their price (79.99) being a lot more than PBTech's price (65.00). No problem. Happy to price match, plus their in store tech support person can install it for me. And if he had any problems then they would redo it with a new screen protector at no cost to ensure it was on properly.

Not only did they price match PB but when I went to pay was asked if I had a Gold card! Yes (thinks, hmm, guess that is fairly obvious 😥). Net result. The Zagg XTR cost a touch over $58 fitted to near perfection.

And having watched the tech spend 10 to 15 mins fitting the screen protector and easing out half a dozen small bubbles and carefully pushing down the edges, I am thankful I didn't attempt the job myself.

Guess I owe NL a shout out for excellent customer service (added to the good service with the initial s22u purchase - phone in hand less than 12 hours after 'pre'-ordering).

Which store location? I'd happily pay that for a screen protector fitted.
