morocco: Okay, I moved to this after a sii, Holly cow its good.

It'll take awhile to get used to the size, but it is so fast.

My only negatives would be touch wiz crashing every half hour and the s pen native app, it's laggy, but papyrus had potential.

I've got to say telecom was great, new sim and transferred over in fifteen minutes.

Wow, that's strange. In three weeks I have had exactly ZERO TouchWiz crashes.

I've removed all the widgets so see how it goes now, most likely one of the apps I loaded, tricky part is sorting which one.

Running 4.1.1

Cross-posting this here, since people who don't yet own Galaxy Note 2s may not frequent the owners thread.

So, I finally got around to completing this (rather mammoth) Note 2 video:

Make sure to use the timestamped links in the video description to get around and skip the bits you don't want to see!

Ive been sick of waiting for this phone to be released, am eager as hell to upgrade from my HTC Desire HD!

On the weekend I stopped in at a VF store, asked about release date, all the staff could tell me is that they were having 'training' on the Note 2 on Tuesday (yesterday) & that with that in mind it should be released pretty soon.

Presuming end of Nov or early Dec, wish they'd hurry up already!

Can someone please confirm that you can make a call with the phone held to the ear?

Its a weird question but to provide context I have the original Galaxy Tab 7 which acts more as a speakerphone. So without a headset you can't make a discreet call and in fact the best position to hold the phone is in front of your face, not by the ear.

For me a 7" phone I could hold by the ear would be perfect. The Note 2 seems a little small :)

Yes the Note can be used just like a normal phone. (I'm selling mine in the Offers and Wanted forum ;-) )

I was thinking the other day that 7" full HD phablet would be tempting . . .

hey guys,

i wonder if someone can help me. I bought an sd card on the weekend, and thought to transfer all my photos and music onto it, that went fine, no issues.

in the past, on my xperia arc, i used an app called app2sd, which would allow me to transfer apps onto my sd card, on my note2, i get a message saying "the device does not have a real primary external storage, or the primary extranel storage is emulated. Moving app to SD function may not be supported by this device"

So is it not possible to transfer my apps onto sd card on this phone? or is there any other way to transfer apps onto sd card???

thanks for any help

is there any point waiting for the release if I can get it from fairbuy for $850 shipped? ie is it likely to drive the price down at all? there's no way Telecom or Voda will sell it without contract near that I assume.

I purchased mine from expert infotech. Einfo.co.nz

Great price and a real store. Don't wait for telecom or voda to sell you the same thing for more. Get it now! You wont be stuck with carrier bloatware nor delayed carrier updates.
