i recently came across this thread, i am at university and they don't allow exe extraction here.. unfortunately no windows computer at home. i will have locate a friend!
thanks so much.

i think i will return the phone. it wasnt OTA'd for international use, i didnt mind and was going to use it as a wifi device. i have a galaxy note 1 and feel like it is a stronger device, i got given it in korea and it was on the olle network, works fine with vodafone 3g sim..

ithink: Charging the phone with a USB cable is no longer feasible (though this is not exactly a G2 problem).

whats that mean !? this phone doesn't charge with USB cable!? needs power adapter ?
I am looking to buy this one so just want to make sure. thanks.

No worries. The KT (Olleh) devices are also poorly-suited to NZ, as they don't support 3G on 850MHz or 900MHz. They do have 1800MHz 4G, though, so that's a plus - I had a Pantech Vega N°6 until recently. So go the joys of kit that's tailored for one specific operator.

The Sprint G2 just doesn't have the hardware to work well in NZ, regardless of which software it's running, so that combined with the issues you've had (I really hope it was sold to you as a rooted, warranty-void, secondhand device) would make returning it a sensible option if possible. The 16GB international version (Which supports useful things like 850 & 900MHz 3G, DC-HSPA+, & 1800MHz 4G) is currently as low as $660.99 over the counter at Expert Infotech. Be half tempted myself if they drop much lower.

it can be charged with USB, but at low speed/current

to get full charge speed, you need BOTH a high power USB supply and a cable that supports fast charge.

Hi mate, i posted in the last page but no one replied. i see that expansys has much lower price http://www.expansys.co.nz/lg-g2-d802-unlocked-32gb-white-252531/ and its 32gb ! is this model any different to one you are referring to?
these cell bands always confuse me so not sure if i can buy this one or not.

Yes, the D802 is the model you want for use in NZ.

But to test I clicked buy now and it only shown me 606+24! Will I billed later? sorry never dealt with this guys and its not obvious from their product page.Thanks for the advise.

Expansys prices don't include GST or customs fees, which are billed separately by NZ Customs when the goods enter the country.

Had my first play with one of these today, man this is A GREAT device. I want one now, but can't justify it at all unfortunately. I think the best non-phablet class handset on Android this year.
