The camera is horrible. The rest looks OK. The S6 Edge know better and the camera foes not seem to protrude as much on the Edge.

I like flimsy plastic backs, because they bounce, and are cheap to change when I want a different colour.

jeffnz: Agree with Networkn this debacle about build quality is complete rubbish.

Thing is, the majority of users said build quality was not good enough. Samsung were bleeding global market share following the release of the S5. Luckily, they didn't have a suicide wish and listened to the market. I only wish they had found some middle ground. Maybe a slightly thicker phone with bigger battery. And how hard can it be to put in an external SD?

Overall, though, looks like a nice piece of kit. Mind you, the new HTC  M9 .....

It's just 'same old', in terms of the look, and they have basically gone to the apple design. Although apple realised that it wasn't the best idea to have a double sided glass phone, except that they probably sold lots of replacements after people dropped them.
I think the iphone is looking better by the day. At least apple support iOS for a reasonable period of time, unlike Samsung, who tend to drop older phones pretty quickly, and they are very slow at releasing android updates. If I was buying an andorid phone now, I think I will only go for a google one, so it gets updates when they come out.

Agree totally. The one elephant in the room with android. I bought my Sony Z2 only a year ago ... still waiting for Lollipop ...

The S6 is probably the biggest change in all the S models to date and people are complaining it is too similar to previous models?!

Fixed battery and non-expandable storage, get used to it, its not critical, it is a want not a need, likewise, the plastic lovers, it will only take a few weeks and you too will understand the feelgood factor of having a flagship model that feel like a flagship model

QHD, 64bit processor, 3GB ram, better power management, quick charging, wireless charging, Gorilla Glass 4, thinner. lighter

Now here's hoping we see a non TW version in the near future :P

The reason I still have and love my HTC One M7, pure Google, timely updates, had Lollipop since last year, was going to skip the M8 and head toward the M9 but there is just no incentive, even the moto X and N6 don't bring enough to the table, a "pure" S6 I think i would find it hard to say no to though

mrgsm021: Good on Samsung for a completely new revamped design to include more premium metal and glass materials but the lack of micro SD expansion is a deal breaker for me.

Agree totally. Last year, Samsung gave us an ugly plastic phone. This year, they have nailed design and quality... but at what price? Surely there is a middle ground?

So has it been confirmed NZ will be getting s6 April 10? Are we one of the 20 launch countries? Will we get 64/128gb models on that date do you think? I can make do with a 64gb model, decided battery changer isn't an issue with a portable battery pack.

Unsure about edge, seems to be a reason to accidentally do something on the screen you don't want, by holding it.

After watching some hands on videos, that glass backing is a god dam finger print magnet.

For me it'll be a no go.  The S5 appealed due to its semi rugged build given the sorts of places I tend to take mine.
Something with even more glass and not waterproof isn't going to cut it unless it gets wrapped in a LifeProof case.  That said, I got one for the S5 anyway to give me extra peace of mind.
Not being able to remove the battery isn't an issue so long as I can charge it at home, work and in the car when needed.
Expandable storage was one thing that set the Androids apart from having to pay extra to get more storage on a Apple product.  While I could probably just live with a fixed size, it just seems like a step backwards.

That said, my S5 isn't even a year old yet so I'm in no hurry to replace it at this stage.

Its not a want at all in my case, I use 2 batteries as I use the phone for cycling to record rides so if I'm doing a 7 hour ride I sometmes have to swap batteries. Different strokes for different folks. The plastic wa fine as I'm not interested in how the phone looks its how it works to me that is important.

Feelgood is subjective as you get used to anything given time.

As to GE thats also subjective, personally if I wanted a vanilla phone I'd get nexus, no point in having the samsung extras if you can't use them.

I agree its the biggest change but time will tell if it was the right one but anecdotal evidence would point to the fact that what they were doing was ok, sure they are losing ground but is that due to it being made of plastic or that China is now producing excellent phones are more realistic prices.

I think most of us know your dislike of Samsung so why torture yourself.

The camera has always been good on the galaxy series, so what that it protrudes or does it not look nice

The m8, iPhone 6/+, Xperia z's. I don't like the square shape camera glass on the m9 or the s6.
