The update also add "Icons" to the notification options - instead of a number you now have individual apps icons in the notification area.

There is no plans yet to release it here. The chances are very low that it will be released in NZ

Anyone played with the Android Assistant on the Mate 9  and who has used the Pixel, I'm guessing they work the same ?.

are you meaing ok/hey google/google now?

if so yep, been playing with it since i got it, have installed google keep, and use it for shopping lists/notes etc and its also pretty handy for getting directions or information on stuff like when the next train is.

sometimes it messes up words, and the one its been having a bit of trouble with is the word "Add" for whopping lists and at the moment i cant get it to remove anything from the shopping list even though the instructions say i should be able to.

So if i want to get a second charger, and/or a car charger and powerbank what charging standard so i need to be looking out for? as Huawei use their own standard, so will QC 2.0 and 3.0 still work ok?

UPDATE: My Better half has bought a Google Daydream VR Headset for the Mate 9, I'll let you know how it does after it arrives.   The leather and wood cases arrived today they both look great with the Mocha phone, its a great phone and I'm sure I have earned a few brownie points.

Huawei mention a 'HUAWEI SuperCharge Car Adapter' up-to 5A output apparently, I did some research and found the following from Slashgear.

'...Here, however, we come to the next biggest thing in the Mate 9’s armor. Unlike Qualcomm’s Quick Charge, MediaTek’s Pump Express+, or the USB-C standard Power Delivery, no one other than Huawei uses SuperCharge. In short, it is a proprietary technology that only Huawei knows about. In practice, this means that no other charger or cable will give you the benefits of SuperCharge except Huawei’s official accessories. Not even Google’s standards-compliant Pixel charger and cable. Everything other than Huawei’s charger and cable always maxes at 5V/2A...'

yea i have read that, but looking at it, even charging at 2A it seems like it would charge pretty fast.

Will probably just buy a QC 3.0 one anyways.

Let me know how it goes with the VR headset, i could be keen to get one too, as my brother has offered to bring my stuff with him in Feb/March when he comes over.

I did see the car charger, but i cant for the life of me find where to get one, and a replacement wall charger
