Gordy7:

I think my Galaxy Watch 46mm has failed.

Bought 12 Sept.

23 Dec., After a week on power saver mode and the battery at 20% I found the watch would not re-power after being on my Duo charger for a couple of hours.

Tried several times using the Duo Wireless charger and the Wireless charger and pressing the power button (as a recommended recovery option).

Got partial power up results, but the watch quickly died.

25 Dec., Tried again today. No charging. No power up.

Looks like I will have to contact Samsung NZ in the New Year for some sort of return process.

Received my watch today (4 Jan) after repair by Samsung... Courier a bit slow with the New Year break I guess.

Sent for repair on 27 December and repaired by Samsung on 28 December.

All appears to be working ok.

Main board was replaced and tests carried out.

I have had 2 Samsung watches now, an Gear S3 and Galaxy watch 46mm. I have had the same problem where initially when I turned my wrist to check the time, the display would come on, now it doesn't do this. It's annoying having to press a button to get the time only up.

Any ideas?

After my watch repair the display turns on more readily (than previously) when I turn my wrist...

Theatre and good night mode have to be off for it to work. Sucks.

Hi is anyone having issues charging their galaxy watch using the wireless duo pad when their samsung phone is also charging (specifically a note 9)?  I can confirm I am using the cable and charger that came with the charger.

I am able to charge the watch with the charger it came with so I know it's not the watch.

My watch charges on the wireless charger duo but it is fussy in where it's placed. I don't use it as when the phone and watch are charging the fan runs (even if the phone is on slow charging) which isn't something i want on my bedside table while trying to get to sleep.

I agree, it's is a bit noisey and super bright when you are trying to sleep.  i wish there was an easy way to dim the always on screen when you have a clear view case.

Gordy7:

Sitting in the sun today at about 2pm, I found the Galaxy watch (46mm) easy to read in full sunshine.

Later, after I had been sitting at my computer for a lengthy period my watch told me to do some exercise.

Walked to the toilet... watch reported 'that's better'... Sure was! :-)

Battery status reports 15% used after just over 24 house since full charge.

Haha, I just read this. Mine said nice work after I stood up and walked for a bit. But what the watch didn't know is that I walked to the snack machine to by some crap food.

Lucky it doesn't have a food sensor!! :)

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

I had charging issues with my Gear S3 right out of the box - it just would not charge at all.

lol, I had no idea the charger had a fan till your post and it sits beside my bed! I just angle it away so the light from the phone is not facing me. I can just hear the fan with my ear against it.

I think it will. It was on display at the Samsung stand at PB Techxpo. The rep there didn't have a launch date though.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I am not that happy with how my 46mm is tracking my sleep. It's often out by hours.

It's a little frustrating.

Also, it's not consistent when it sends it's report.
