Yes, and I'm not 100% about linking my Google account to my banking. In fact, I'm downright terrified tbh.

The one thing that bothers me a tad from the ASB Implementation is the requirement to turn on the screen for Google pay to work.

 

Probably just a setting somewhere... 

 

 

Isn't this a security thing? To stop payments from happening without your knowledge?

To my recollection I had to have my phone unlocked for it to work on the old system too, so either way I'm touching the fingerprint sensor just before paying. That may have been my settings though?
It was different back in the Semble days, but that's ancient history at this point

The old way didnt work for me without the phone lit up. Sometimes it would get an error from the terminal but usually nothing happened at all.

The previous ASB system only required the screen to be lit. It did not require the phone to be unlocked
