Geektastic:

Latest annoyance: every picture I take, the camera says "That last picture might be a bit blurry".

Even using a tripod...

So turn off 'flaw detection' in camera settings then it won't annoy you anymore....

Yup i've turned off the feedback option.

It's not the tripod, but subject movement.

I've figured out why I was getting battery drain

1. Exchange email with the Samsung Email app - haven't found another app that potentially doesn't. Brings back memories of old ... exchange email battery drain - not fixed after a whole decade

2. Insomnia (failure to deep sleep) after VOIP calling with Exynos (not SD) - resolved only with a fresh reboot

It's not. I took a photo in good light of an entirely stationary object with the phone held by stationary support. It still says it. Every time.
It's a new fault: it didn't do it out of the box.

I have exchange via outlook app and keep getting phone notifications that app is contributing to excessive drain.

my drains are from

"samsung push notification" - 24/7

"keyboard (whatever keyboard is use) 24/7

*shrugs shoulder

it could be whatsapp masquerading as samsung push because i ain't got no samsung push happening - everything has been disabled including samsung push. though I did sign up for samsung phone location but nothing else. not even samsung pass.

i'll sort out the exchange mail later on ... need an app that allows "disable push"

maybe I'll root it and use some power app to gain control ...

no such issue with my huawei mate 20. disable background activity means disable background activity everything shuts down whether my screen is on or off. too bad the phone didn't work properly (can't even hear voice calls properly!)

If you get the right package disabler you can disable system apps without rooting.

My battery drain has become a thing since (either) the factory reset I did on Friday or the recent software update(s).

Before, I could do 2 days from 100% if I switched it off overnight. I took it off the charger this morning about 0800 at 100% and it now has 25% on the clock.

Looking at the use figures, Chrome is in the lead with 21.6% and 1hr36 minutes in Background. Why it runs in background I have no idea.

Still been unable to get the fingerprint update to install but have just done the Vodafone system update and then the biometric one worked. Fingerprint works instantly now, even with my thumb which wouldn't work at all before.

Same here. Battery drain wasn't a problem prior to the fingerprint update. Probably maxing out the Voltage on the ultrasonic scanner lol. When the dogs howl at night you'll know why.
