antaeusa: Hi,

My USB cable for the charger has been playing and my phone is still under warranty (expires this August) but NL claims that the charger/USB cable only has 6 months warranty. Is that the right way to go about it?

Check out CGA as its covered under that, NL are not very good at understanding their obligations under the CGA in my experience.

Refresh their memories or ask for a Head office contact as in  product manager and email them with one of teh sample letters on consumer sites it should get results.

Thanks guys. I checked my warranty details from the box and it said there is a 6 month warranty for the battery however it doesn't clearly state any warranty with respect to USB Charger or Wall Charger. Finally they'd agreed to look at the USB Cable/Wall Charger. The Customer Person at NL didn't want to speak to the Samsung rep..due to lack of comms.. I had to explain it to the Samsung guy and tell them about consumer act guarantee and then he freaked out and started to go oh ok! The lady at the counter was trying to sell me a USB Cable for $20 and the wall charger for $30!! Ridiculous...if you don't know your rights, you will get screwed over! Not a happy camper with NL..
