S22 Ultra users - how are you finding the volume of your device with alarms and phone calls please? I had a play on the display S22 Ultra in a shop yesterday and thought it sounded quite quiet. So I hauled out my soon-to-be-unsupported Note 9 to compare the same Youtube Music video, and found the Note 9 to be quite a lot louder. Max volume on the S22 is equivalent to about 2-3 notches down on the Note 9, and I'd say sounds less full than the Note 9. Def less bass. Music aside, being able to hear on the phone & get woken up for work is rather important! Have you had any issues with either thing? Thanks in advance.
Loud if you want it loud, quiet if you want it quiet.
Dramatically louder than an S8 (bit more well rounded sound too). Louder (and less shrill) than an S20FE.
It's obviously worse than real speakers or decent headphones.
No trouble using it as an alarm, it's loud enough I think. More of a general issue with alarms for me... 😅

Same here
Thanks! That's interesting that the s22 ultra is louder than both the S8 & the S20FE! The S9 & Note 9 were meant to have much better speakers than previous iterations (if I remember the marketing guff when I bought it), and they are certainly a lot better than the Note 4 it replaced, but I'm surprised about the S20FE.
I did some googling and there are a lot of mentions actually about quieter & less good speakers than some of Samsung's recent flagships, so it's good to hear they work well enough & loud enough from your POV.
I mostly do listen to music with headphones, but I rarely make/take phone calls with them, so my main concern was call quality & loudness, as well as being loud enough to wake me for my 3.45am and 5am starts. There are only a few ringtones on the Note 9 that manage the later, even on full volume!
