can anyone tell me if the s22+ has a flat screen? (I'm not near a shop with one to look at) I like to put a tempered glass screen protector on my phone but they don't fit well on the curved edged screens.

Yes S22+ does have a flat screen, S22U is the only one in the S22 family that has a curved screen.
Can anyone recommend a safe and suitable fast charge power bank for charging on the go?
Or any specific brand.
Don't want to damage the battery by using sub-par products.
I've been using the Satechi for quite a while no issues.

Xiaomi 20,000 mAh for me. Charges my laptop too which is a bonus.
I've been using a Baseus 65W 30,000mAh unit like this one.
With the powerbank fully charged, it will charge my S22U maybe 3 or 3.5 times.
A bit of an overkill in terms of all the different ports it has but it supports the Samsung 45W PPS no problems, in fact it was the one of the first powerbanks that supports PPS but they are much more common these days.
heavenlywild: No updates on my Ultra yet 😕
Just doing update now 2 Degrees s22 Ultra
Updating my S22 U too 2 degrees.
Seems a bit late as normally 1st few days of the month.
I see overseas reports of Android 13 and the New UI 5 in beta mode. For instance has the watermark feature back for example as a toggle.

I dropped my Note 10+ the other day, for the first time in well over a decade of Android smart phone ownership I managed to damage the screen of one of my phones :(
So I went and bought an S22 Ultra - 12GB/256GB. My 10+ was a 12GB/512GB model, but I had never used half of that 512GB and therefore I wasn't prepared to pay $300 more for the step up from 256GB to 512GB on my new phone. I had paid $1950 when I bought my 10+ and the S22 Ultra 12/512 was $2400, that's quite a rise in the cost of a new flagship phone! The 8GB/128GB isn't even worth considering IMO, for $100 more I got the 12GB/256GB and that is good value for only 5% more money. No way would I pay $2k for a phone with only 8GB/128GB, that is the sort of memory you expect on a $500 phone!
My thoughts on 10+ vs S22 Ultra: The S22 is obviously better (newer, 5G, improvements to camera) and the 10x zoom is a good thing to have. I would give my 100% recommendation to any 10+ owner to NOT upgrade to this phone if their 10+ is still doing the job fine (like mine was before the drop). The improvements are nice but they are mostly minor bumps up in performance and my 3-year-old 10+ was still a very acceptable phone to use day to day. The S22 Ultra is a bit snappier in terms of responsiveness and the 10x zoom will be really useful now & then, BUT - over 2K to buy a new phone just isn't worth the money for those small gains, unless the old phone is no good any more (broken screen, battery stuffed and not getting you through the day, etc). My 10+ was still going great with battery life, ending a day with over 60% left typically. Everything was performing as good as the day I got it until the screen met the asphalt at a pretty good speed. Still - if your current phone is rubbish and you are happy to pay top dollar for a top phone - the S22 Ultra is most definitely a good phone!
