This is a problem related to s22 and network coverage.

Im a geocacher which means im often out and about using my mobile phone in often iffy coverage areas.

Im currently with 2 Degrees.

I occasionally come across situations where I have no /poor network coverage. With geocaching need network to download data. If I know before hand I can save data offline.

An associated app called Ad Lab does need live data to complete tasks however.

So im wondering if I can use another network on my S22 Ultra. I believe its dual simmed.Ive also heard about E sim so perhaps I could tandem a Skinny account.

If I could do that How do I go about it.

Thanks for any help

So I have to admit at times 2 Degrees Coverage is not so good it compared to Vodafone/Spark  seems !!

Yip the S22 Ultra has Dual physical SIM, no need to use eSim

If you take the Sim tray out, your SIM card will (should) be on the top. This is SIM 1. Turn the tray over and this is SIM 2. You'll see it labelled as such. If you have 2 different SIM's then you can choose what SIM to use for what task - Phone calls, SMS messages & mobile data. It's easy enough to change on the fly as well.

As above S22U has dual SIM plus eSIM however it can only support dual standby, i.e. standby on eSIM + one of the physical SIM or standby on the dual physical SIMs

On S22 Ultra, After the latest update, the fingerprint scanner seems to be really degraded. Like I really have to press my finger down a lot harder than I used to, and often multiple times.

Before it used to get it first time every time.

Anybody else experienced this?

I have noticed something similar - before the update I could be reasonably confident that it would let me in first time, now not so much.  That is, it will work first time most of the time, but maybe 10%-20% of the time it will require multiple attempts or using a PIN instead.

After last 2 updates I had problems with thumb fingerprint from when I received phone in March and just previous to these updates I added in index finger print and that was working fine so I deleted thumb print and added again and been working fine ever since.

YES. Used to work well but now fails on first attempt 75% of the time. Sometimes it'll take 4 goes before it registers, or I give up & switch to PIN. I thought something must be up with my skin but interesting that you've experienced the same.  Hadn't thought about it relating to an update, but maybe it does. There's been two phone updates in the space of a month, and this has been all been within that sort of timeframe.

Good thinking. I deleted and re-did all fingerprints and they seem to be working well again.

Mine is working flawlessly again after deleting & re-entering fingerprints using the same two fingers as before.

Looks like we should be getting Android 13 with One UI 5 in the next few weeks and a new Good Lock module camera assistant app when Android 13 updated.

That's insanely fast - I'm so used to NZ being 3-4 months behind everyone else. Guess it helps that I don't think there's Spark Vodafone versions anymore?
