The lens protruding the way it is will expose it to greater risk of damage. The new edge appears to have the lens less exposed and looks better.

Hmm looking at it now, I'm torn between iphone 6 and the galaxy s6. IMO biggest iphone advantage is timely updates and quality apps, where as s6 has wireleas charging and probably a better camera.

nowadays android and iOS devices are on par in terms of usability and pros and cons and bugs.

android usually have higher specs but for some reason a lower spec-ed iOS "can" function superior.

the biggest disadvantage of the android is you don't get android, rather the manufacturer's interpretation and update of android on the device, and whether you get updates in the future. the biggest advantage is you don't have to be locked in to android, and you can have a lot more third party freedom to install what you want. if the two doesn't bother you, then there is no advantage one way or other. maybe pricing.

i'm going to be shot if i said as a photographer maniac the out of the box iphone photos are better. but you don't get 4k video in iOS whereas you can on some android. whether you can do anything with the 4k videos i don't know - i remember on the note ?3 if it was, the 4k can't be used out of the box or something

I agree but for ease of use especially in the sunshine Nokia is hard to beat.

ok let's add the word "generally better" :D that should cover it. i've had galaxy s4 and the photos have the wrong colour and wrong lighting whereas the iphone makes a horrible shooting situation look pretty darn amazing - out of the box.

Manufacturers have proven already that they can do "pure Google" versions, why cut your nose to spite your face, I don't want to be railroaded into the choice of handsets based on OEM's interpretation of OS, i want to buy the device whose hardware spec's best suit my needs/wants, right now that is a S6 running clean lollipop

Up until the N6 I would argue that an S4 or One running GPe was the best "Nexus" handset ever to surface, especially in the case of the HTC One there was finally an Android phone with the wow and an update program on par with Apples best.

Out of the box pure google, no touchwizz

Even if Samsung developed a non region "pure Google" rom and we could flash at our own peril. I'm not interested in aftermarket developer roms, there is always some form of compromise, don't get me wrong the developers do a fantastic job but how can a single person or small team do better than a team of well funded OEM developers with all he tools at their fingertips

I am running pure 5.0.2, not even rooted and it seems to do everything i need and want without me looking for addons, i struggle to understand what benefit Sense or Touchwizz can bring to my life

Stock Lollipop + Google apps = a complete, functional and cohesive solution

any comparisons with the 6 PLUS? as the plus supposedly has OIS that doesn't work [ie no improvement to PQ compared to the 6]. the 6 doesn't have OIS, i would expect that video to show what it showed. rather it has digital IS which means an algorithm tries to prevent a blur shot with device movement

ok i made my statement older [1-2 years ago] but flagship android. i looked at the photos taken from latest flagship phones - they are as good or better than an iphone. so android's caught up there :D

No idea, I just posted it for those who might be interested, personally I don't care about cameras.
