Everything was going pretty well for me, until I loaded Hay Day and it's as laggy as anything I could imagine. Pretty much unusable. May be an update to something is required but I am concerned there may be something up with the graphics processor.

Clash works fine, though it's nowhere near as graphically intensive.

I haven't touched a phone in the past 2 years that has struggled.

The layout of the screen means that swiftkey keyboard is slightly larger meaning I am trying to hit the space button but getting the period instead, which was bad enough on the Note phones but way worse on this device.

In most ways I still prefer the physical home button. I find interacting with my games often the home button etc pops out meaning I end up outside the game.

Ha, I know what that'll be - there's an automatic 'gaming optimisation' feature to prolong battery life. Whack it off under settings/battery and you'll be good as gold, I'd wager. The GPU in the Snapdragon 820 is very grunty.

Have you tried resizing SwiftKey to shrink it down a little? Has that feature. I gave up on SwiftKey a while back after it got a bit erratic, and have found Google keyboard's improved leaps and bounds in the past ~18 months. That said, LG has one of the OEM keyboards that doesn't make me want to throw the phone across the room, unlike Samsung, ASUS, Sony, and a few others.

Glad to hear it. :)

Yeah, it connected to my 5GHz SSID fine - I have an HG659 which was originally Voda-supplied. Will have another tinker over the weekend.

Been waiting for this to finally upgrade from my HTC M8. Nik, will there be stock going to the Christchurch store? Also those who have one, silver or grey?

 Cheers

Tony

Yep, stock is enroute to Christchurch now and will be there today or tomorrow.

We ordered more stock of the grey and expect it to be the more popular colour, my preference is for the silver though.

Thanks Nik, I see stock in available in Christchurch now I just can't make it there by 5:30 :( Guess it'll have to be tomorrow.

Band 60/20mhz/short worked ( out of time might just have been long being set )

Nik, any idea when cases for the V20 will be in stock at PB Tech?  I can pick one up from eBay but if they are arriving soonish at PB Tech then I'll just wait.

Had this phone for nearly a week now. No regrets as it has met my expectations.

Overall, happy with the camera. It does everything I need. Huge upgrade on what I had. Focus is nice and fast, photos are really good in various light conditions. I guess all flagship phone cameras are quite good now. My only issue is the video I've taken seems a bit sensitive to movement and comes across as jittery. I hope this is something LG can improve with a software update.

Battery life is great. Easily get by on a single charge each day. Phone charges quickly, so no problem if I ever need to top it up.

Second screen is awesome. It is very very useful for me.

Audio from the phone is really good. I used to listen to music from my Macbook Pro with some Sennheiser headphones. Switching to using the V20 gives quite an improvement.

On my Note 3 I'd have the occasional dropped call or reception issue near my house. It was mostly fine though. With the V20 so far I haven't experienced any issues.

Check this out.

Unlock System UI settings

Custom skins, like my Sony, have it available in the Default System.Display>Icons area.
