Have been keeping an eye on the LG V20 phone and I see GSM Arena have a review up on it now. Looks like a very nice phone. Anyone thoughts, comments on this phone? Anyone keen to pick one up?

I've seen this too and quite liked it. I wonder how long until it's available here in some capacity.

Battery is the only let down for me, their last couple phones have tanked when it comes to battery life. Not to mention the reboot issues that's plagued their last few phones.

Given how little effort LG has made in distributing and promoting the G4 and G5 (and not even bringing in the V10) I'm guessing any availability of the V20 in NZ will be via parallel imported channels only.

It's somewhat sad that good top-spec phones like these get little attention and distribution, with all eyes seemingly firmly on Samsung products (though perhaps the Note problem may offer an opportunity to push the V20?). I'd be interested to know what it'll retail for here in NZ; I'm going to try to hold off replacing my aging G3 for up to a year so hopefully by then I'll have the money for a Pixel XL or perhaps the V20.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this phone, especially given the number of people looking for a high end alternative to the now dead Note 7. Looking at the specs, I would've thought more people would be salivating over it hahahaha.

Got LGV10(parallel imported) for wife and she's been using it for a while now. No battery/reboot issues, impressed with the in-built DAC. Shame that it's not promoted/distributed unlike other brands.

I'll be getting one at some stage to replace my G4. Probably when the price is a little more reasonable.

V20 launches in AU, and by extension NZ, early next month. Will have band 28.

Don't really recommend anyone ever imports a Korean telco-branded phone for anything other than curiosity, there are a LOT of complications and caveats in getting them to operate properly outside of their homeland. Although the gigantic extending DVB-T antennas are amusing.

Still early days, don't know yet. Expecting it to be less than the Pixels mind you!

Thanks Nik, I can wait that long ( my daughter who gets my note 5 might argue that ).
I have to say the extra full time screen and the audio, combined with removable battery, makes for a very cool looking phone.
One question, will we get the ultra cool B&O h3 headphones do you know ?.

Doesn't look like the B&O earphones are packed in with the AU variant, I'm sure LG would have mentioned it in the above press release if they were.

I'm keen for an LG V20 now that the Note 7 is out of contention.

Camera looks good and build quality appears to be good. I'll lose the spen but I think I'll survive.

Was trying to decide between the Sony XZ and the LGv20 and the Pixel XL. I think I've ruled out Sony for non QHD Screen, and the Pixel for no SD Card.

I can't see any downside to the LG v20 other than the fact it's LG who aren't exactly renowned for their software update speediness.
