I called PBtech… they say they don't have it in stock.

Did you ask if they are getting it though?

They won't say specifically. They just say "we don't have it… yet" and won't talk about an ETA. Other shops are happy to add 'Coming Soon' pages. I think PBtech are not sure whether they will be able to get a significant quantity of the international version.

colgateam:Ended up ordering through bigapplebuddy.com and finally have pixel 3 in my hands as we speak.

Cost around $1800 all up fwiw

Was this for the Pixel 3 or the Pixel 3XL (and how much storage 64Gb or 128Gb)?

They quoted me USD 974 for 128 GB XL including delivery and their service charge for FedEx Economy shipping. This will exclude customs clearance ofcourse so that's around 1800 NZD with them.

Mine is a 64gb pixel 3

I'm guessing once stores release it here it will be about 1600-1700.
Just wish Google will sell direct to NZ one day

I lost hopes on getting one now. Google Store cancelled my order as well. Now deciding to stick to the Pixel XL that I have got or maybe go for the one plus 6t if this created too much of a trouble. Google sucks for not bringing it to more markets.

Which version would be better? A US handset or an Australian handset? Or no difference?

The Australian one would come with the right charger plug. Apart from that they are probably identical. There certainly support the same LTE bands, although there is no official confirmation as far as I know that they support all the same carrier aggregation combinations. A warranty claim might be slightly easier if you buy via Australia?

Hey everyone, made this throwaway account to let you know what I've done.

I bought a Pixel 3 64Gb with the fabric case from JB Hi-Fi in Australia, and I'm having Ausff post it to me.

Ausff forwards packages, and it cost about $68 NZD for 3-10 days shipping with insurance and a tracking number.

So far, the customer support from Ausff has been fantastic.

In total, it was about $1370 NZD for the phone, case and shipping.

I have phoned JB in Australia and NZ and both stores are saying they'll honour the 2 year warranty. This is important to me, given the issues that some users are experiencing.

I should be getting the phone next week.

Nevermind, have to pay another 30 AUD for insurance and considering import taxes and duties will make it around $1650 NZD.

I have just cancelled my order with expansys.co.nz

I think that their office is in London. Their communication was very slack (one day to confirm the order, another day to check that I would pay the NZ tax, another day to check proof of delivery address) and no feedback until I cancelled the order.

After reading about bigapplebuddy.com on this thread I got a quote from them. Fortunately they included a US$200 Black Friday discount as well as responded in a timely fashion.

https://nz.trustpilot.com/review/www.bigapplebuddy.com shows happy customers so I confirmed my order with them this afternoon.

Hopefully, after 3 failed attempts via the Google Store then poor service from expansys.co.nz bigapplebuddy.com will come through for me.

Nice. I was impressed with their communication for the quote too. Wish I could buy from them but the all-over cost was way too much that I would like to spend on this (even though it would have been 200 NZD more from the Google Store). Just not worth the trouble imo. I am trying to give up but still can't stop looking for better ways to buy. Damn it, Google.

Kogan/Dick Smith have just opened up pre-orders. Pixel 3 is NZ$1339 (64GB) and NZ$1479 (128GB). Pixel 3 XL is NZ$1479 (64GB) and NZ$1649 (128GB).

Does anyone have any experience with them? Those numbers include GST, right (they won't be held up at the border)?

Sounds promising!
