I have ordered a Pixel 6 Pro unlocked from Big Apple Buddy.
I also bought my current phone, a Pixel 3XL through them 3 years ago.
They were fantastic to deal with and even suggested then to wait a couple of weeks when they anticipated Google having specials on them

Thanks for the tip but holy crap, not a cheap affair

Actually trying to figure out whether this includes the 15% GST or if that'll have to be paid on top?

$130 for shipping? lol come off. Cost me $25 to get a large and heavy keyboard from Texas via DHL. They are absolutely scamming you on that one.

Feel like Mightyape are smoking something with their non-pro pricing.

At first I was shocked.

Now I'm fuming.

This was from the Pixel 5 listing on MightyApe.

Be great if retailers would test their own products before putting them up.

I've sent an inquiry but really they should be testing this and putting a disclaimer if 5G isn't working. Ugh.

Is it me or does it look like Mighty Ape is confused and putting out the Base model at what should be the price point for the Pro model?

The idea of owning a P6 is becoming more undesirable as time goes on!

I'm absolutely a pleb in comparison to most commenting on this thread. It's served a great purpose and lots of good exchanges have happened too in which I've learnt a few things... I'm feeling too anxious and currently money-conscious to be rolling the dice on this. Concerns over warranty, support if things are not quite right, import costs, lack of 5G on a fresh drop being quite jarring too.

Will be interesting to keep a follow on how you get on for the people who are comfortable to plunge! Please do keep adding on here

Not sure what my next play is but I'll ride my current phone out for a few more months. Samsung & Apple must be feeling pretty smug in their ivory towers right now... They're going to keep running the show and keep throwing in the free lollies as sweeteners to the deals too. Too easy for them.

Google is slowly increasing the number of models available in the market. Three models at this time. Taking more control of silicon gave ability to increase support life for P6, to five years.

Google: Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro phones will get Pixel updates for at least 5 years from when the device first became available on the Google Store in the US. Pixel updates include Pixel security updates, and may also include feature drops and other software updates.

This reduces cost of ownership and increases resale value. At the least, it enables giving away the device before end of life knowing it's still supported for the new user. Any phone without updates is just a hazard. Problem solved.
