Looks like there's a fix coming for this
Thanx for the link. Good to know. I'll leave mine on the lock screen until the current one expires..

My Motorolla doesnt have that disappearing issue..
unless I restart the phone. Restart the ph & the vax cert disappears from home screen
(Android 10)
Disappears from my Samsung A52 5g home screen every few days.
I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

I just restarted my Samsung Note 10+ and it didn't disappear from my home screen.

Have you had any app updates??
Edit. There's a new Covid tracer app available. Just installed it and the Passport stayed on the home screen after reboot.

Unrelated. But the new tracer app will link to the passport after a scan so it's quicker.

jamesrt:Turns out that there are TWO "Google Pay" apps on her phone - the obvious one downloaded from the Play Store (which seems to be older), and a "hidden" one, which is accessible via the Google settings page in the Android Settings. They are both clearly "Google Pay", but the interfaces are quite different. The "hidden" one contained her pass.
As she doesn't actually use Google Pay for PayWave functionality on her phone, I *uninstalled* the "obvious" Google Pay app (the usual way, from the main launcher); then went back into the "hidden" one, verified the pass still exists, and re-added the shortcut to the home screen.
So far, it's still working - the shortcut launches "Google Pay" (despite it being removed) and displays the pass.
This does sort-of make sense if you read about the Covid Pass framework - it's built into the OS/Google Framework, and I think Google just elected to use "Pay" as a front-end for the passes.
Another reboot test on the S10+. This time I paid attention to the shortcut as soon as the phone started. The shortcut was initially visible on the home screen, but it vanished not long after start-up was fully completed (maybe a couple of minutes or so later). Something or some setting seems to be actively removing it.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Weird - I have exactly the same phone and have never had the shortcut disappear despite a number of reboots.
My MIL has a Samsung A51 and is very technophobic - when I requested and set up her pass I both downloaded the pass into Google Pay and also placed a desktop shortcut to a saved screenshot next to the GP shortcut so as to minimise confusion/ensure she had a back-up in case it disappears off her phone.

I have had no problem with the shortcut to the built in Pay on a Moto G5S android 8. The latest Covid Tracer seems to expect the full Pay App to be installed. When that is done the Pay App doesn't see the Vaccine Pass already loaded. I think I'll leave it alone while it works.
Just been for lunch and went to show passport and shortcut had disappeared, so used the link from covid tracer app which just worked. Just restarted my Samsung note 10+ and as others saying after 2 minutes shortcut disappears so hopefully experts get a fix soon in the interim will just use it from covid tracer app. Also looks like lock home screen layout which is supposed to stop items from being removed or repositioned not working properly and a pain to add shortcut each time have to unlock home screen put shortcut then relock.

I've had no issues with the pass being on the lock screen. Hasn't vanished from there.
