I just reached out to Oppo NZ on their website chat, to see if they can tell me if its compatible in NZ, and they said:

"It will work in New Zealand! It's just that since the phone wasn't launched here, we are unable to provide full servicing for it."
"We are unable to disclose why its not offered in NZ. Apologies for this! But yes there's no technical reason why it wouldn't work with NZ network providers."

I can confirm the information, as it cited the source before I posted it here. Most information was from OPPO or One NZ themselves.

Please undelete my post.

Best Mobile, out of Melbourne, is 3,638.00 NZD for the Orange 16GB.

Giztop, out of HK, is 1,799 USD (3,064.00 NZD) plugs $49.99 USD ($85 NZD) shipping, for the Tundra in 16GB. So this seems the better deal to me.

Giztop just told me they honour the 2 year warranty too. If there is a problem, they will provide a return address and provide Fedex pickup, and repair the phone under warranty. If the fault is your own, they can repair it also - which is something Oppo NZ said they couldnt do, as they wont stock the parts here in NZ.

Geekwills has the best price so far (in USD) however there is no black available (can't be added to cart even though it's available for selection, only the orange one is available):

$1499 + $30 shipping for 12GB/512GB, with a 2% discount code, converted to NZ dollars is roughly $2560 based on Wise conversion rate

$1699 + $30 shipping for 16GB/1TB, with a 2% discount code converted to NZ dollars is roughly $2995 based on Wise conversion rate

Yeah as mentioned above, they lower the value and so its not required, they said. "Don't worry" they said, in an email to me :). I specifically asked, as I calculated it to be another $450 or so yeah. Only GST, there is no duty on this, according to 'whats my duty' govt website.
