"Pinch to Zoom"

Anybody have a Galaxy Note™ II Smart Dock and a Logitech K400R keyboard? OR know of any keyboard with a "surface" which supports "pinch to zoom".???

Since you basically can't get the Smart Dock just yet, and I don't have a K400R, I don't think anyone can answer that for you right now. The K400 does support one multi-touch gesture - two finger scrolling - and that work perfectly on the Note 2. Given that the K400R pinch zooming on the touchpad may well work...

2degrees has just updated the Snapper app to officially support the Note II. I've been using it fine since I got my Note II. Official announcement must be imminent.

I have an Android 'box' attached to a HD TV via HDMI.

As the whole 'docked' thing has not been embraced my the masses yet, there has not been a lot of throught put into the transition from a mobile device screen to that of a larger Full HDTV screen.

To this end I have used LCD Density Changer to decrease the screen density down to a level that 'fits' the HDTV (or Full HDTV) to present a visually acceptable look.

Doing this reduces the applications and presentation size from looking comically 'funny' to a more standard size when using a larger screen.

Doing this also vastly increases the ability to view additional data on a scrolled screen(or even non-scrolled screen) with apps like ES file explorer, Kaiten Mail (or any mail app), IMDb, Google Maps and the list goes on.

On my box I reduced the screen density down to 145 from something like 240 before. This sounds insane, however there is no reduction in the visual 'look' of the HDTV screen image with this device combination, however you will have to tinker with the best fit/screen density to get the best font/image to screen size ratio on your device.

It'd be nice if a docked device just picked all this up when 'docked' such that there is a docked profile and a 'standard' profile.

This could be much the same as Microsoft Windows when you plug in a VGA/HDMI/DisplayPort connection to a bank of 24" Full HD IPS monitors from your 11.6" Alienware Notebook (supports 3+ monitors).

And a question without notice, can one plug a USB printer into the Galaxy Note™ II Smart Dock and then using something like Google Play Store PrinterShare™ Mobile Print have it detect the printer and print a test sheet. No biggie, it just ticks a box and may add to the list of conquests of the Galaxy Note™ II Smart Dock.

Yep, would have been really nice if they had it switch to tablet UI on detection of docking...

If I get time I will try and check printing, my printer is dying here though, so may present a problem...

Have you tried something like Tasker to automate forced orientation when connecting to a dock? Haven't tried it before, but it sprung to mind when watching your vid. Not sure if screen density can be automated though.

I'm sure Tasker could do the rotation bit (love Tasker to bits).

Can't recall that it can automate DPI control though, although perhaps one of the apps for that has a plugin for Tasker? Not in a rush to try since I haven't seen much in the way of reports about DPI changing and the Note 2 - it caused some bad problems on some ROMs for the original Note!

been using note tool kit v 2.0 to root and get CWR i ve followed all the instructions seems to work except when i boot to CWR just says "apply update from ADB " next options are "apply updates from external storage " .
this the version says "android system recovery 3e "

in the pass its had in my sgs 3 "install from sd card " ...

will it still work or do i need to install sum-thing else

going to revotlion HD rom ....btw
