My wife has an iPhone 6 which was a gift (not from I hasten to add :-( ). Migrating from a S4 I spent hours trying to set it up like her S4 with custom ring tones, SMS tones etc.  Got it sort of working but I could not get her photos across from the S4 to the iPhone6 without iCloud wanting to delete all the photos after I tried to sync with iCloud. So I gave up and eschewed iCloud and just let Google do the sync. At least she photos she takes on the iPhone can be seen on her Android Samsung tablet.

Then after a few days she stopped using it until a proper case she bought arrived and went back to the S4. I think she prefers it and now is eyeing the S6. I might just get that for her and sell the iPhone 6 and make life easier for me. Then minimally I wan't have to deal with IOS and she can share all my wireless charging pads I have around the house for my N5.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

may I ask what you think looks great

The m8, iPhone 6/+, Xperia z's. I don't like the square shape camera glass on the m9 or the s6.

The 6+ is one of the ugliest phones going around. Love my wifes iPhone 6, great piece of kit, but the
+ is god awful

I don;t think it is ugly, but a bit out of proportion. But the big negative with it is it feels too big in teh hand, and I have big hands. It also feels too thin, and can see why people have bent it, as it just doesn't feel high quality. The 6 does because it is in better proportion. If I had a choice between teh S6 and the iphone 6, it would easily be the iphone 6, as I am a samsung s4 owner, and not impressed with it's build quality or performer, compared to my previous apple phones.

Maybe the fact that the iphone is coming up just shows how similar they are now, especially with the built in battery and no removable storage. APple do seem to support their product better too. I think the big iphone is really a replacement for the ipad mini, as apple didn't improve the mini much the last time around, and the mini will probably become like the ipod touch, and they will eventually kill it off eventually.

Its just back to the early days where people from both tribes gave thier opinion on why one was better for other etc etc.

I do agree that S6 is more towards Iphone than it has ever been having said that Apple made a big change with the 6 and 6+ to increase screen size. Personally I don't see how you can compare the two as they are on different OS

I have an S4.  The lack of a SD slot does put me off the S6, as does any reduction in battery life.  I can always get a day out of my S4 battery.  I use the SD slot to move files between my laptop/tablet/phone/camera.

I have to say that I am starting to wane on my dislike of the S6 not having the inter changeable batter and ext SD card. I started to look around at the options and ended up with the LG G3 which looks really nice and has both of what I need but the camera seems not to up to the Samsung (going on reviews) but still be interesting to see what the LG G4 comes up with, The next one is the Note 4 which has everything I need but a bit bigger than I have ever used and would probably not use the stylus so expensive for what I need.

So I have started to try and work out my life without either of those, whilst I like teh ability to take the SD card out to swap data between devices etc I don't do that much so 64gb would suit that side of my needs.

Battery wise I was arguing how its juts easy to change battery but had the argument thrown at me about having a power bank which would save the need to change battery etc etc. So looking at the arguments here for the same thing I'll wait and see what ity looks like as my options are limited anyway.

No I don't need to upgrade I just want to

Bluetooth on the note4 is aweful if that is important to you.

The note 3 has other issues, but at least I dont end up with 1 or 2 glitches per song when using the note 3 for rdio or spotify.

Had a good think about the non removable battery and lack of microsd slot and decided 5 give the S6 a go . The S4 has had a good run for 2 years so time to change.
