I currently have a huawei U8150 so definitely time for an upgrade, and this phone just keeps calling to me...  2 questions

1.  Is there anything better than this in the same price bracket?  (or even under $300?)
2. Can you confirm the FM radio works?

Doing your best is much more important than being the best.

Beautiful phone! I'm loving it! Only thing I can't for the life of me figure out how to save pictures/video to the sd card.

It doesn't appear to be enabled in the current NZ build of the product - NikT mentioned it a few pages ago, maybe it will be corrected in a future software update.

For the moment I'm using an alternate camera app - 'A Better Camera' - specifically it can save to SD on this model.

Enjoying mine as well. Sweet phone for the price.

Cheers,

My god that ultra looks great for the price

Do the phones have a LED notification light?
and if so does it support red/green/blue etc?

It's listed on NL's website but not clear whether stores have stock? https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/cameras-phones/phones-and-gps/vodafone-mobile-phones-cellphones/vodafone-smart-ultra-smartphone/prod139622.html?ref=pricespy

And also on Vodafone's http://www.vodafone.co.nz/shop/mobileDetails.jsp?skuId=sku800068

Bummer.  I just ordered this morning a Xiaomi Mi 4i  dual SIM  for $381.

Answers -

1. Nope. It's a great phone at even twice the price.
2. Yes, can confirm it works and works well. It's the biggest running joke I have with NikT, he'll show me a shiny new flagship, I'll ask if it has FM Radio, he'll tell me no. That's why I have a iPod Nano as well and it's one of the few things I'd change about my Note 4.

Is FM radio that important to you? I'm sure you have loads of data to use

Yep - the mobile data is definitely a perk of working here, but there's nothing like a good FM radio. Might consider switching if more streams were higher quality.

Yeah, It's a shame that more don't have good quality streams.

One of mine has a 320 stream, chews the data though

The Smart Prime has a white LED notification line, so I assume that the Ultra will have one too but I don't know if it's colour or not.
