Looks like the Dick Smith deal that included headphones for free was not Bluetooth, just regular wired.

Can't find any retail pricing for the headphones themselves, I would say that $139RRP is usually $49-69 on special

No it was another recent promo where online the already discounted S5 attracted a further discount it was not entitled to

Loving the phone. Battery is lasting more than twice as long as my old Galaxy S3. For amusement: I gave the S3 to my flatmate and today the screen died on it. I guess it really was time for a replacement :)

Can't comment on glass but speaker is surprisingly loud and clear

Overall, I'm loving this phone, if this is the level of mid level phones I question what it would take for me to buy flagship ever again. The camera is a bit finnicky, indoors with flash on overexposes something wicked but in bright outdoors it can produce some fairly good results, i tried Google Camera which doesn't have the indoor low light exposure issue but nor did it focus as well outdoors so swings and roundabouts

Pic i took yesterday

I wonder how it compares to a K3 note.

Interesting question. I'm deciding between the Lenovo k3 note and the smart ultra. Smart ultra has local support but the K3 seems to be the best new mid priced phablet around.

NikT:
Yabanize: Would you consider this an upgrade from the Samsung S4?

Being vodafones flagship, I hope support and updates are good

Over the i9505, sure, for the battery life and larger screen alone. I'm still using this as my daily driver and I don't think I'll be changing that for a while, it does everything I need it to better than any other single phone I have on hand.

Smart ultra does not support the 850MHz 3G band, however, so is not suitable for anyone on Spark or Skinny.

.

Doesn't Vodafone AU use the 850 band for 3G as well as 900??

Yep. They don't sell Smart prime or Smart ultra.

VF AU is Vodafone Hutchison Australia, a joint venture rather than a wholly-owned Vodafone Group operating company. They do things a little differently.

The vodefone smart 4 power. (Last years flagship) didn't get one proper os update in the year I've had it I would doubt this one would too.

I am really hoping the Ultra does receive timely updates, I have low expectations & high hopes :P

Mind you it's only a bootloader unlock away from having some good support on XDA
