I was hoping that VF had made a mistake around what was shipping with their Note7 (128gb), but it seems they have negotiated a different deal. Not sure how true that is.

Oh yep thats right. Yea the samsung website will be shipping them out on the 17th. So should be right on time or earlier if lucky :p.

Yea the way its going is that you have to buy the phone with a contract carrier, cant buy it outright it seems except from samsung. I wanted to buy outright as id saved for it and also i got the discount from samsung.

Just for you guys if you want to get the $1409 deal, just enter NEWWATCH (UPPERCASE) as a coupon and it will discount it by 12% do get the $1409 price. Just be aware you dont qualify for the Gear Vr. But still get the 128gb sd card.
Im not sure if it was just for me as i was emailed this code or even a glitch as the code seems to be for the gear watch.

In any case maybe try cancel the pre orders if you feel like saving $200 and not being stuck on a contract.
Even the $1299 with vodafone you must stay on the open plan for their minimum terms (i think 3 months) which is ok if your already with vodafone but i was with spark and wished not the hassel.

Hope this helps anyone, i was going to keep it a secret as i was gonna try and squirm a VR from samsung. But ah well. Its only good for mindcraft app :p

^^I bought mine out right from Noel leeming, no contract and 30 months interest free =) at the time, they were the only place offering out right that's why I ordered from them

Heres a list of all the sites offering pre order for the note 7, if there are any others let me know. All official retailers offer free 128gb SD card by default.

As i understand it also, any interest free plans on open contracts you must stay with the provider until phone is payed off. After three months however you may leave for another provider but must pay the remainder of the RRP left owing.

Parallel imports do not offer free sd card or official warranty.

I am not completely sure but under normal conditions a prepay and open contract are the same but open contract rolls over a automatic bill monthly like a service. You may also leave the contract or change it with 30 days notice.

Under the interest free options however i believe the terms are different, with the provided interest free service you must stay with them (granted with the ability to still change plans freely) until the phone is payed off.

After three months however you can cancel and pay off the remainder RRP $1599 (you loose $300 saving)

Interest Free Terms For Vodafone

This was told to me by a harvey norman rep but it still needs to be confirmed or clarified, the terms and conditions can be quite confusing.

Id like to know too, iv been scrummaging for days looking for the best deal. Usually wouldn't care but the high price gives incentive to go all out for the lowest that can be found.

Unless its gotten for at cost i couldn't see it found cheaper than $1300-1350.
