Kopkiwi:

Is NZ going to be getting that new tan/beige colour?

Sounds so appealing. Will look good with a particular set of older males, I guess - those who like to wear everything in a variety of shades of beige and tan can now have a matching phone!

Whatever the colour is...it does look pretty sexy

Edit: Almond

Does anyone know if this charger will work with the warp charging on the OnePlus 7?  It's 30W, is that all that's necessary? Planning to pick up an 8GB model from Noel Leeming this weekend and I suspect their supplied charger isn't a fast one..

Won't do Warp charging unfortunately. 2.4A max output. Total for two USB's is 30W but these manufacturer's continue to advertise as 30W etc so when you search you get these potentially misleading results.

Got it, thank you.

Looks like PBTech's oppo chargers are probably the best bet at this stage then?

If you get it from PB Tech it comes with the oppo charger as well. If you really want the maximum speeds, just get a travel adapter to use the warp charger I guess.

Yeah I considered that, but looks like it works out cheaper to buy it from NL and then grab a charger from PB separately. Plus PBT don't exactly have the best reputation as far as warranty/repair etc support go :|

The Almond is a fairly limited-run regional exclusive.

If you (or anyone else) have any issues or concerns with OnePlus warranty at PB, please feel free to mention my name when submitting an RMA request and it will come across my desk.

There are many more things I could say here about OnePlus and warranty in NZ, but I consider it bad form to disparage competitors. Suffice to say that PB has a 24 month local warranty on all OnePlus smartphones and others do not. :)

I would be all over that Almond version

I"ve had a few things repaired under warranty at Pbtech, never had a problem. Even got a temp phone when my Note9 trucked out

Any good cases available in NZ for this phone yet?
I see there are 2 available at PB not a fan of the OtterBox Symmetry Clear Case and I had a Spigen Rugged Armor Case for my LG V30+ and found it a bit slippery.

@NikT will you guys be getting the official OnePlus 7 Pro bumper cases?

Slightly concerning, I wonder where that OP push notifications originate from. It translates to 'ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha' FYI.
