Just a quick update, I seem to have a tracking number from PBtech for the phone + phone bonus.  No tracking for the watch yet (watch is still saying awaiting stock).

I did get the email about it being delayed at week but seems like some are shipping.

Good for you!

Can you share what colour and GB size you chose?

I was just looking at the ZF3 and am contemplating it, but after using the S21 Ultra since the start of the year, there are a couple of non-negotiables for me:

- Dual Physical Nano-SIM
- Smart Clear View S-Pen cover

I haven't read from the specs that the ZF3 has 2 x Physical Nano SIM and I haven't read anybody here confirm that yet? Perhaps someone can?

I also don't see any Smart View covers that include the S-Pen. I'd miss that far too much since I have that on my S21 Ultra

The Galaxy Z Flip3 has one SIM slot and one eSIM.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 has two SIM slots and one eSIM. If the eSIM is in use then only one slot will be active.

Got an email from Noel Leeming late this afternoon. Due to store being closed under Level 4 click and collect not available (not a surprise but at least they communicated). They offered home delivery free of charge but when I contacted them they said they don’t actually have any stock (and couldn’t say how long the delay may be). So my comment a few pages back about them sitting in a container at Ports of Auckland might not be too far from the truth! Not sure if I want to entrust $3000+ package to the already stressed courier system.
To be honest I wasn’t really expecting to get my phone until Level 3 at the earliest so their offer of a delivery was a good gesture (shame about the stock though).

With nothing else to do, it would have been nice to while away a day setting up a couple of new devices. I have received the “Case with S-Pen” and I can see why people have given it a poor review. It is a good idea poorly executed. There is no protection for the edge of the front screen half of the phone and although it covers the front screen, the cover doesn’t stay in place very well. So I have pulled out the 3D printer and am working through a few designs to make it a bit better. The S-Pen has to go on the edge to stop the phone being too thick and is complicated by the hinge movement, but I think the engineers who designed the cover could have tried a bit harder.

But I really want to see if I need to have the S-Pen in the case for day to day use. Otherwise it can live in my briefcase and I’ll get a different cover. I’ve ordered some on AliExpress but they might not be here until Xmas, if they turn up at all.

There are currently no “smart view” covers for the Fold3. I get my notifications on my watch anyway.

I ordered a Green 512 GB Fold 3 a couple weeks back through Spark.  I was notified today, only after nudging them for an update, that Samsung is not supplying Spark with this color and capacity.

I was offered a Black 512 GB with a 4 - 6 week ETA for shipping.  Not real happy this morning, but in light of the current state of the world perhaps I shouldn't expect more.

Anybody else order a Fold 3 through Spark?

Bit hard for Spark to offer that, 512GB is only in Black worldwide... I guess someone mucked up.

It looks like that color and capacity are selectable on Samsung's website, but it does say "out of stock".  I've been through a situation like this previously where an exotic color/capacity combo put me on backorder, so I should have known better.

I've asked if they can prioritize my order rather than putting me at the back of the queue again, but I'm not getting my hopes up.  If only they offered SD expansion on these things, I'd be perfectly happy with the base model.  😞

If anyone is interested, I'm not surprised...

Question about interest free plans: If I purchase the Flip 3 ($1700) with a $300 savings over 36 month term from Spark, do I pay back the full RRP $1700 or $1400 if I want to pay the phone off early and dip out of the plan?

Sorry, removed my post and reply - the discount price at PB Tech is for the Flip 5G previous generation.
