So does that confirm that VoLTE is not working?

@robfish 100% not working the next best thing you could do is try your SIM in an official VoLTE handset and see if VoLTE works

Good idea. I just tried it in my wife's iPhone 12 and no go there either. Back to Skinny then.

no matter how hard I tried I could not get Skinny to provision VoLTE for me (they were insisting it already was - but it was not).
I ended up contacting @gajan on here who sorted it out for me.

Went back to Skinny who said that as far as they could see both my SIM and my wife's SIM were provisioned for VoLTE.

I tried both SIMs in both phones (Pixel 6 Pro and iPhone 12) and could not see VoLTE available on either.

Did some more research and found this....

"VoLTE is on. It is enabled by default. You don't have a choice any more because the cellular carriers require it."

(at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253770442)

So then I tried on the iphone, turning off WiFi and making calls and both SIMs stayed on 4G so it looks like the SIM is not the problem on my Pixel 6 Pro.

I will just have to live in hope that VoLTE will work before the 3G towers are decommissioned.

(I don't want to root my phone)

When my wife, me  and my granddaughter  bought new Samsung A52s last year and someone from Spark (Cajan) on GZ  did some sort of reset and then  our phones worked  with VoLTE on both Spark and Skinny.

That may be true for new sims but if you have the same sim you have been using for a few years it is not necessarily true.

As I mentioned earlier - Skinny were telling me VoLTE should work.
@gajan looked. It wasn't provisioned so he enabled it. Pretty much instantly VoLTE became visible in my status bar

Getting back to the VoLTE discussion - if it works on Spark does it also mean those of us on Skinny also get VoLTE?

Yes.

Does the country it originates from impact that? if I bought one from the US it would work ok for VoLTE on Skinny?

I have the same question now.
I have now checked my Skinny SIM in my wife's iPhone 12 and it stays on 4G when I make calls so that indicates that VoLTE is provisioned.
My Pixel 6 Pro says it is not provisioned.
Others on GZ have said that they now have VoLTE working on Pixel 6s without rooting.
Could it be because I bought the International version from USA or am I missing something?

Spark appear to have their carrier settings personalised as in the post from earlier up the page, while Vodafone and 2degrees is just numbers, eg. 53001-40000000687.54
When I get a carrier services app update I check for change on both carriers but as yet they still both appear generic. I'm not sure about Skinnys version, if it would simply utilise Sparks settings or another iteration, in this case generic.

Hey Rob. Any chance you can screenshot your carrier version settings in your sim menu. Would be interesting to see if you have the same custom version as the guys on Spark. I'm keen to know if there's s chance I can get VoLTE working on a pixel 7 pro. Looking to swap to a carrier that it works on, and so far Skinny is the only one close to comparable with the deals I'm getting through 2degrees. Spark is so far off it's not funny, so a no go there -unless they do plan matching? Thanks.

Thanks Rob. Looks like you've still got the generic version like the rest of us. Have you had any luck getting VoLTE working since your last post? If not, fingers crossed they get updated for you with the Spark special sauce at some stage! This is my version on 2degrees
