screen off or screen on? and are you using the supplied cable or a generic one. I have read there are physical differences with the supplied cable.

I had the same issue as I had a cheap cable but also had a cheap charger as well which I'm told can be bad for phone. I have an old Nokia cable that plugs into charger and it seems fine as well.

Max's voice suddenly gone hitch pitched? Rom looks.. I think my stint on stock is at an end...

Works great for me, perhaps its a bit like Omega with all the bells and whistles but you have control through settings to change it all unlike Omega.

I got the XT version from Noel Leeming but it has the telecom named browser

I am on 2Degrees and also not able to install their mobile app.. not sure if this is due to having the XT Model - can someone confirm this.

So in trying to get past these shortcomings that I dont like and thinking to install the 2Degrees ROM from Sammobile.

Has anyone else done this..? Please let me know if you faced any issues.

About the 2Degrees app. I have it on my S3 and so I copied it to my S4 and it works fine. I wrote to them asking why this was and they thanked me and passed my comments on to the developers, I haven't heard anymore about it.
I can tell you that it has never failed me once on the S4.
I had wondered if it was as simple as not editing their deployment on the Play Store to include the S4?

Can someone point me at a cheap source to buy S4 MicroUSB Cables which charge at full speed etc, not the cheap ones that don't work properly.

I use the cable that came with my Sony camera and the charger that came with my TF101 tablet. That charges the phone super quick.

Information on these links - link one, link two... they suggest a different cable is required to charge really quickly.

hi I have an s4 but on Telstra OZ rom ... can I ask -

1) how do I flash the latest telecom modem/is it worth doing? how do I backup the Telstra modem?

2) where can I read about custom roms? (I flashed the s2 every other week with so I was pretty good at that but I heard the s4 has a new locked boot or something??)

I've had bad reception on a couple of modems but just flashed the new MH1 version and its great, I think its more to do wiyth I shifted and don't get the same coverage I used to. I'm on Telecom but never worried about getting Telecom specific modem.

Flashing modems can be a mission but once rooted you need to flash twice.

The locked boot was an American version i believe so not an issue.

here for guides, kernels, modems etc. Rooting and flashing is all the same really as S2 just need Odin for initial root access.

In general I'd think especially if you have recently relocated....getting the most recent list of towers and roaming info from your provider is going to have more impact than reflashing modem firmware on your handset.

I only moved 7 km's but coverage is not as good as being near CBD in Auckland, using opensignal it clearly shows the best reception areas. The current MH1 modem has been best for me since shifting.

is being in a (ten storey concrete building spanning one short intersection) building a significant speed bump? (telecom)
