Importing your stuff (contacts, calendars etc) is a breeze with the HTC Sync software, simply back up your iPhone to your computer with iTunes and then plug in your HTC and it does it all for you in about 10 minutes.

I'm pleased to hear you found HTC Sync Manager good.  My experience with it was a nightmare, it kept crashing and I've given up on it.  What desktop OS are you using?

Windows XP. It did lock up my phone twice, but that was probably due to trying too many things at once

Works fine on Win8. But I couldn't stop it from trying to sync my 40Gb music library.

OK rang Noel Leeming. No stock. Apparently they said Telecom changed the order number for the product and so they had to re-order all the stock - including pre-orders - again from Telecom.

So being one of those who pre-ordered, the wait goes on until Wednesday of next week.

bmt: Yeah I thought it was quite odd considering it was a Telecom store.. they are not really franchises are they? All profits would go to Telecom so don't understand why an individual store would refuse to sell outright.

The person I spoke to on Telecom's online chat said she called the manager of the store and was told that was their policy, so I'm guessing the person I dealt with went back and asked them too.

From Telecom:

"... additional communication has gone out to all retail store staff this afternoon reiterating that the HTC One is available on prepaid and for purchase on a plan. "

I didn't even install HTC Sync Manager. If I want anything on a phone I copy/paste. Experience from early smartphone days tells me no sync tool is good enough, regardless of who made it.

Nope both of them are perfect, the store I went to to pick up the second one (my one, the missus was quick on the first phone : D) had two so I got the gapless one of the two they had

In saying that it was an extremely tiny gap and only at one corner, but annoying none the less, luckily the second was gapless!

I got mine today. Being a prize from HTC I was disapointed to find mine had the gap issue. Nevermind, i'll play with it for a few days and send it back ;) Design wise, it certainly stands out from the Android crowd and Boomsound is great!

Pretty disappointed with HTC QA.
Bought one from JB hifi for $980 vodafone version.
I opened it straight away in front of the seller. It had a massive gap on the top part (bottom was gapless).
Showed it to the seller and received a brand new one on the spot.
Opened it again, and this time there was a small gap, minor enough for me to live with. However, it had a little nick/flake at the bottom where charger port is located.
For something a grand worth, I would have expected to be flawless.
I strongly recommend that when you purchase, you open it on the spot and ask for a replacement if you not happy with it.

Anyone know if it is safe to root yet?
