Hey guys,

Has anyone bought their Nexus 5 through Warehouse Stationary, or can anyone tell me, the Warehouse Stationary Nexus' 5, advertised as "2degrees LG Google Nexus 5" - is it the international model (D821), and does it come with any 2 Degrees carrier branding? I want to get it and run it on Vodafone 4G.

PS: For anyone interested, Warehouse Stationary currently have it on sale for $599.00, 16Gb version.

Yes its the international version and it has no carrier branding.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

It is the 821 with no branding. I'm running mine on Telecom no probs. Just need to get a 4G sim for Telecom, but I believe that isn't necessary for Vodafone.

Correct, you just have to pay an additional fee to be able to receive 4G

4G access is free on our current On Account plans Here, Here, & Here, and is also available on the Prepay 4G plan. :)

dafman: Rather than get the warehouse stationery charger, why not get the genuine LG wireless charger for your LG phone from Amazon - it is a similar price to the warehouse stationery product landed in NZ.

I purchased two of these from Amazon and they are brilliant. You don't have to worry too much about placement, you just plonk the N5 down and it automatically starts charging.

does it stop charging once n5 is fully charged??

What's everyone's battery life like at the moment?

I am not sure if this is due to 4G in CBD - when I am in city with strong 4G signal the whole time, the battery disappears pretty quickly. I do have wifi on - but not connected. By the time I get home at around 6pm, I am down to about 35%. That's with about 1 hour of screen on time.

During the weekends or when I am at home with mostly 3G connection (sometimes 4G but very small percentage) with wifi connected - with with whole day of use and about 2 hour screen on time - there is more than 50% battery left...

I have gmail / microsoft outlook sync on push + hotmail on hourly check.

The battery usage does not seem very consistent...

I bought a few of these for wireless charging

Pretty cheap and they work okay but you have to place the phone carefully on the device to get the charging to start. You know when it's charging since you get the NFC tone.

Annoying thing about them though is the sloping surface. Maybe it's supposed to look nice (certainly can't be a design requirement) but the phone tends to slip down sometimes and so lose the charging contact.

Still for US$18 including shipping, can't complain.

Yep, 3g/4g drains my battery too.
on wifi, it's much better

this is why the NZ company Powerbyproxi is interesting, their technology doesn't need to be lined up on the base like the Qi charging does
