pinkbellbird: Pineappleexpress.... Well yeah I realise that all I need is another Telcos sim card..... That's nothing to do with it! I'm waiting to see what the best phone/plan offer vf have on the note 2, till then I wait...

comments for others...

Spoke to someone at Vodafone tonight, the note2 came into stock today.

Pretty stupid it comes into stock & they make no sound of it at all... Considering how popular this phone is & will be.

Guess you missed the media release even here on Geekzone yesterday about it

Hi team, I've used this site for years for all my geek related queries, and thought it was time that I joined. I too have been waiting for this phone and see that Omnitech have unlocked ones for $873.00!!! :)

Looks like I might be joining the Note 2 Club soon woohoo. What are you guys using to attach these behemoths to your car windscreen?

I found a cig lighter charger adapter mount at repco on special last week for $20 that is spring loaded and opens wide enough for the note 2. 2amp charging and all. Wobbles less than the windscreen mount I had for my old 3gs. And is out of the sun for good visibility. It has one of those goose necks on it.

thats the one I was gonna recommend!

repco have 2 different styles, but take the Note 2 (I checked!), hold it very snug with no chance of the phone slipping or falling out.

It a larger holder than the suction cup style, plugs into your cig lighter plug, but the holder has a cig plug + 2 USB ports.

mint!

That would be good except I use my mobile as a dashcam, so it has to be windscreen mounted.

Yay - Note 2 arrived today.

After playing with it for 1 hour solid, the S3 now feels like a *compact phone*.

I don't think the upper limit for usable phone has been reached though! Bring on a Note 4 with 6.5" screen and ultrathin bezel, that weighs the same as this! lolol

Note III will be too incremental over this I think!

If Samsung carry on with similar upgrades to the Galaxy Series, I'll happily skip S4/Note3. Can't remember the last handset I had more than 12 months!

Seriously thinking of getting one of these.

Does anyone know if the Note 2's from VF, Telecom, or 2D are locked in any way?

Nopes. Phones sold by the networks are not locked, and haven't been for some time.
