Everyone I see custom kernel out sends shivers down my spine ... they are neither stable nor do they give the best battery life in my s2 flashing addiction experience

S2 experience with custom kernel

Stock ,- 1 gpu step 5 cpu step auto brightness way too bright in the dark way too dark in the bright

Custom
2-3 gpu step Inc over clock ... No difference in performance. High chance of crashing in game and in touch wiz
8 to 16 cpu steps Inc overclock. Extreme overclock cannot boot. Mild over clock medium chance of crashing. Can underclock k but why!!??! No over clock crashes every 10-14 days
No change in battery life in fact maybe worse
Governor allows you to dictate when you want those steps to be ramped up our down

Auto Brightness customizable. great.

For me ... Stock kernel all the way thanks.
Although my s4 is way too dark out doors ... hmmm ...

I've just upgraded to Omega v18, nice and snappy! I particularly love the Aroma installer that allows you to pick and choose which bits of bloatware you wish to install or ignore.

I got it working on the Telecom ROM. Did you try the trick I posted on the Telecom 4G thread? It was from the Echoe FAQ.

The file to edit was blank. Typed in true and rebooted. Nothing.

Must be more than that one file that is needing fixed. What telecom rom are you using? Could you root it?

Well it turns out my root explorer is failing to amend things.

Copied the file out of the system area. Opened. Says false. Cant change to true. Permissions are read and write. Ideas?

I've got a 2deg S4 running EchoROM v10.  LTE working great when in zone.

Which root explorer are you using?  Ive had problems before with ES File Explorer but no probs with the original root explorer.

I did that file thing, then went into settings and selected a network, then changed the file back. 4G still works. I have no idea why.
