Krishant007: I finally got an invite. But when I click on the link, it tells me that OnePlus have not started selling in my country yet (NZ) and I can claim the invite but they cannot ship it to me.

Just wondering if others used some VPN to hide their location from the OnePlus servers to claim the invite or just claimed it anyway.

Btw, I still have not decided if I will be buying it or not (going through an inner turmoil right now about that) so the invite may be up for grabs.

Thanks

Yes you can buy it! Just use Youshop, a service run by NZ Post that will allow you to buy it! Google Youshop and sign up an account and also to learn what it is!

Haha, yup I know about Youshop - my question was that in order to claim it, do I need to use VPN since I am from NZ? I dont want to claim it and then they tell me that they can sell it to me since I am not geolocated in USA.

I can use Tunnelbear to VPN but I cannot use it at work so would have to wait till this evening till I get home

Oh I see what you mean now! Na its alright you just need to click "yes i still want to claim this" or whatever, just proceed to the next step, and then when it asks where do you want to ship it to, you will see that you cant find NZ in the country list. So you just select USA instead, and then enter the address given to you by Youshop! Goodluck! Hope you get this excellent phone. (Still waiting for my invite :(

Haha no worries mate. Yup I just went for the claim and now its sitting in my basket.

I was going to order it in but decide later if I want to keep it or not. If I decide to not keep it (before even opening it), I will put it up for sale here for the cost here if anyone wants to buy it.. I am in half minds to go with iPhone at this stage or a phablet.

Fair enough. Main difference between Iphone 6 or One Plus will come down to the operating system, since iphone 6 will likely be 4.7 inches and even a 5.5 inch option may be released. The One plus is 5.5 inches, it is not that much of a difference to the 4,7 inch iphone. At the start you may not get used to the size but you will get used to it afterwards.

P.s. Can you inform me how much total it would cost to get the device all the way here in NZ (like total shipping costs)

Thanks!

Does anyone else need an invite?

I'll take one if you've got more than one going.

Ordered on Friday 15th August, arrived today, pretty quick delivery I feel.

Haven't played too much with the phone but first impressions are great. Feels lighter than my S3, the textured back is really nice too.

No invites have been given to my account yet, but hopefully they will soon. The website says they will be given out as they have stock available.

Has anyone who has received their OPO got anything bad to say about the phone? I mean, any disadvantages? Just wanted to hear the downside about the phone?

Effing yeah. This phone is terrible and it is too fast.

The OS has too much options and too customisable.

The screen is to Effing sharp and it ruined my eyes from looking at lower resolution screen.

Battery last me a whole frigging day only with my usage as I played Clash of Clans all day and having all of my connectivities on.

Good thing is the Camera App.

It is much better than my Nokia N95 but fall short of my Sony NEX-6. Night time is noisy and worst than Galaxy S3 but hey this is a pros. :)
