wasabi2k: Got mine - was very hesitant to side load an apk that asked for essentially all permissions everywhere.

Will try out some of the play store apps on my Nexus.

A quick google search shows no reported problems with permissions although most seem to have issues setting the apk up.

I'm not taking chances, pretty much block all outgoing traffic from the app.
Check out NoRoot Firewall, great utility to have, no root required.

Mine arrived yesterday.  I used the klick app from the webstore and it works really well, single and double clicks register very easily.  I have single set to camera and double to flashlight, on a Moto G.  Long says it doesn't work, and triple seems too difficult
Great little gadget, thanks Steve

Took me a sew seconds to realised what you meant :)
Grey Shirts, though it looks like the other one is pretty decent.

Received mine on Friday, and have had a bit of a play over the weekend, so I thought I would post my comments for Steve & others benefit - I have a Samsung S4

Firstly, I really liked the idea of fitting something (anything) that would bung up the earplug hole. Recently I suffered the angst of a single raindrop entering said hole which made the phone think that earplugs were being plugged in, then removed, then plugged in again - continuously. The phone was rendered totally unreliable. This little gizmo should prevent a repeat of this experience.

Somewhat counter intuitively I installed the MiKey app first, No problems with set up but I never really got close to mastering a technique with my clicks that would work reliably. Sometimes only one click would register after inputting 2 clicks and so on. Sometimes it would activate the volume control, or start the S Voice app, neither of which were programmed in the MiKey app. I decided that the device would never be useful with the MiKey app.

I then downloaded the Klick app. Again, set up was fine and this app has a feature which gives 'vibrate feedback'. This lets you know when a click has been actioned and I found it really good while learning the correct duration and spacing of clicks. Yes, you do have to press quite firmly. Provided your technique is correct, this little gadget works perfectly, but even with the KlicK app it will open the volume control etc if your technique is wrong. Whether or not it is humanly possible to be consistent enough with clicks to ensure the reliability of the device remains to be seen, but it's waterproofing feature will be enough for me to keep it plugged in.

Thanks again for the free gift, Steve. Much appreciated.

@traderstu, you are welcomed and thanks for your detailed review. I found it is precisely correct what last part you said about how to operate the button to work.

Journeyman: Hi steviez. Button received today, thanks!

So far it's working fine on my S4 (AOKP rom).

My initial thoughts are much the same as eXDee's. App was a little finicky to download, but I got there. To begin with, the phone would recognise that the button was there but was not responding to clicks. As per advice here, I found I wasn't pressing hard enough. But then it was trying to open the camera (two clicks) when I pressed once (flashlight). I rebooted the phone and it worked fine, so this may just be an oddity with the ROM.

Anyways, I also have the Pressy. If anyone is interested, I could review the both of them. Maybe in a separate thread though.

@ Journeyman, just wonder if you do some comparison between Pressy and the Klick in terms of ease of operation. I just want to know if the original Pressy is not that hard to control as described by traderstu.

Thanks a lot for the free product.

I now have 2 of the pressy knock offs, one from this thread, and another one from overseas.  Both unfortunately were not reliable enough for me to want to use.  I had similar issues to above: Sometimes the click changed the volume, and sometimes clicks weren't registered.

Received the courier today but I only got the left peice found in this person's photo.

So I guess it's not actually usable with only that piece?

You only got the holder apparently. The left-middle thing is the button which should come in the white holder.

Anyway, I got mine today. Works pretty good. Yet to play around with it.
