Have you had any luck getting VoLTE working since your last post?

No, after trying my SIM in my wife's iPhone 12 it seems that it is provisioned for V0LTE but it doesn't work in my Pixel 6 Pro

Has anyone here got VoLTE working on their Pixel 6 Pro without rooting? If so, what is the procedure?

On my old 6 and (now) 7 pro all I had to do was to plug in my Spark SIM and that's it - the setting shows up with no extra configs.

How do we get the "Spark special sauce" on our Skinny SIMs then?

Skinny is currently not yet supported, I’m afraid it’s at least a few months away. Nothing to do with the SIM.

Hey @NickR1

Any comment on why VoLTE is supported on the pixel 6 (and likely 7) by Spark but not Vodfone/OneNZ?

@fated it is not supported just lucky it works and no Nick could nog comment

If you want support then get an official handset supported by the carrier

No "luck" involved! VoLTE is "provisioned" on Spark because they have bothered to have a version of Carrier Settings that provisions it.

Oh, and I am pretty sure NickR1 is quite capable of saying "no comment" himself, after all I only asked for a comment.

Thanks for your assistance in handset selection as well, much appreciated.

We really don't support it or sell it so it's "your mileage will vary".

We also wouldn't be able to advise if we've been in talks or not or if there's been any communication internally unless it was public then you'd likely know about it via our website.

Of course this space could always change if the stars align and what not but until then it's very much at your risk.

Thanks for the reply MaxineN.

Not intending to be argumentative at all, but I am actually interested in how hard it is to get a carrier specific version of carrier services provisioned for a handset?

5G is a completely seperate issue that I am not particularly concerned about, but VoLTE support should be easier surely?

Spark neither support nor sell the handset either.

Not true for 5g and VoLTE I am afraid.

If it is not provisioned in carrier settings for the network you are roaming in then it does not work.

Causing much consternation at the moment where a handset is taken from one European country where 5G is supported to , say, Portugal where it isn't on that handset by their carriers. Also happening with handsets taken into Qattar for those attending the world cup, yes Qattar has 5G/VoLtE, but not on your handset, even though it is supported in your country of purchase.

Just to confirm. You have volte working with pixel 7pro on spark???? Ifve read other posts where users are saying it doesn't work for Them

I'm on a Nokia 7.2 which is not officially provisioned by spark but After the update to android 11 which it only got about 6 months ago, volte started working.

I need volte as I'm rural.

If a pixel 7 is a risk???? Anyone know a good alternative that's supported....I'd never buy a Nokia again but do like googles clean android os

I previously had a pixel 6 pro on 2degrees and VoLTE didn't work. Switched to Spark and a Pixel 7 Pro and VoLTE is working straight out of the box.
