Is the hardware 100% identical between Chinese version and Global version, and its just a different software ROM loaded, or is there more to it?

Would be nice if you could flash the Chinese version to have the Global ROM, but given there is a price difference I think there must be more to it than that.

No esim support and different band support

...possibly some Chinese bloatware you can't remove, limited/no NFC support for banking apps for Google Pay/PayWave, possible system backdoor open to your data being secretly sent back to CCP.

NFC worked on Vivo chinese ROMS absolutely fine, only thing that didn't was google timeline, otherwise operated as per.

Rather thigns went to China than America at the moment if I'm honest.
