For those that are interested, MIUI has come out for the Nexus 5.
I have flashed it and been using it. It is hands down the best phone OS I have ever used (and I have been around quite a few phones).
I have always been in awe of the attention to detail that goes into MIUI.
The small things in MIUI do it for me, such as:
Yesterday I was typing a email on my phone when my partner called arghhH! Or so I thought, but no, I hadn't lost the window, because I was writing a email MIUI smartly notified me at the top of the screen of a incoming call, with answer and end buttons, but did not take me out of composing the email! I was able to finish it up, send and answer before the call went to voicemail.
Being myself, I have a bad memory, very bad memory, I live by my alarm. One of my biggest gripes with the calender reminders is that they beep once and are gone, I always miss them on the job. Again, MIUI have thought of this, I can make my calender appointments ring an Alarm, that does not stop until I snooze it, brilliant.
I could go on forever, but I will simply say this, if you haven't tried it, do, otherwise you are missing out!

Where to begin.........
A permissions system (you can for instance restrict Facebook from accessing your contacts, or make it ask for permission).
I personally believe it has a much better mail app (I use this for my business email).
A better interface layout, it has had more thought put into it, into how people actually use their device.
A very slick, smooth interface.
Lots of small perfections, such as double tapping the lock on your lock screen will get a music player, in case you want to play on the move without unlocking your phone.
When my alarm's go off, they show me the weather, in animation, as well as a temperature etc.
Greater granular control, in general, such as restricting data, blocking phone numbers, etc. (though you do not have to touch it if you do not want to!)
Pop-up text notifications, with a quick reply box, for when you want to glance, reply and go.
The best way I can describe it, is that they have taken the best parts of Vanilla Android, IOS, put them together, polished, added some enhancements of their own and polished again. They have made an extremely user friendly, yet powerful OS, which in my mind blows the competition out of the water.
There are 101 points I have missed above, those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head!

I wanted to try MIUI on my s4, but it not being kitkat put me off, Is the kitkat one out yet?

Reading thru the Wikipedia page on MIUI was enough to put me off. On their website, they look like they've put quite a bit of effort into cool animations, but the interface looks too much like iOS for my liking. I think I'll stick with stock.
Is anyone else finding the keyboard hangs around on screen after leaving apps sometimes? Noticed this occurring since the update but can't replicate the issue.
deadstar6: Got 4.4.4 this morning. I have noticed 0% change.
As opposed to 4.4.3? I wouldn't have expected you to find anything different, as it was a minimal patch mostly aimed at blocking the Heatbleed flaw. List of changes is here, but not much else of note in the 2.5M patch - saw some people reporting an improvement in radio vs 4.4.3, but that was obviously just wishful thinking.
