Indio: Received my One early this morning and have had it fully charged. Transferred stuff from the Sensation with no problems, loaded the micro Sim, and still waiting for it to be activated. Old phone is still working: turned it off for a while to see if made any difference - no joy.

What am I missing here?

When you say 'turned it off', did you reboot the phone?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Are current standards really that bad? I use my phone a lot but didn't really think it'd be a huge amount more than most around here. 52% now (lunch time) from 92% this morn (lost 8% idle over night)

bmt: I went through my first day with a fully charged phone yesterday, managed 21 hours 32 minutes down to 7%. No idea about screen on time.. Messages was the biggest battery hog with 18%.

Speaking of which, every time I open text messages, there is 0.5second delay where the screen is all white.. Choose somebody, another 0.5 second delay and white screen. Yuck!

I noticed the screen delay in messaging.. if you're a facebook user try thier messaging app - it merges with texts and performs very well

I've noticed the delay in opening a message thread if it has a lot of messages in it.

Sorry, my bad. Called Telecom and they had programmed it to go live on the 17th: the very helpful Telecom support guy changed it to today and it's on now.

That's why I deleted my post...thanks for asking.

Phone looks and feels terrific: no gap issues at all.

hmm...i am noticing the gap in my phone a bit more than usual. i think i might go back to warehouse stationary and ask for a replacement...

haha..ya i will try to use my tablet to take some photos of the gap...i never thought id be one of those people who take pictures with their tablets!

The bottom of the phone:

In the top of the phone image, you can see the zero gap at one end and then the gap gets bigger at the other end.

Think our phones are pretty similar, although the gap at the bottom of your phone might be a tad bigger than mine. Personally im not really bothered by it, not like its going to rip the phone in half, but I can see why others would be.

Will you head out to Warehouse Stationery tomorrow? May ring up before hand, don't say who you are just see if they have any in stock so you don't waste a trip.

I used my speakers for the first time just before, I watched the Avengers trailer because I thought that would be quite a nosy trailer. WOW These speakers are epic. Loud + clear

I was thinking of going down this weekend - i would be at work till at least 6 most of the days. and since it will be the weekend, they should have more phones in stock hopefully. i will make a point to open the phone in store.

I was not really concerned about the gap but when it does look a bit bigger than what it was when i got the phone...or maybe my eyes just playing tricks in the lighting.

Haha, i think the first night, i hadnt used the speakers and just set my alarm for 6.30 to wake me up....

it normally takes about 3-4 alarms for me to fully get up...but yesterday morning...One alarm was enough... (see what i did there)

Ah .... nope?

Its a pun I believe, playing on the fact that he usually uses multiple alarms to wake himself up, whereas with the One he only needs "One".

(Hope you werent joking, or hope you were joking. Hard to determine sarcasm over text)
