SlingshotR6: What's the story with power cables for phones purchased in USA? Assume they'd have the US plug configuration and be 110V??

I have a US Amazon microUSB charger, and it is 110-240v so you should be alright. Even if it is 110v, any other microUSB cellphone charger (except iPhones) should work.

Used them once. Some issues with the payment for the shipping. Managed to hit their fraud-detection system, but all fixed, and no further complains.
Delivery was quick, under a week.

You can declare any value you like but whether customs believe your declaration is an entirely different matter.
I haven't tried declaring anything other than the true value.

I'd argue that the internal US shipping shouldn't qualify for GST as it's not a service that's being conducted in NZ. I understand why the US to NZ freight is included, because that service is at least partly conducted on NZ shores.

Concealment of dutiable goods and the presentation of false documentation are serious offences which may result in the seizure of the articles and substantial penalties. You may also be criminally prosecuted.
