Does anyone know what modems to use for New Zealand? I've flashed Google Edition 4.4.2 but unsure about which modem to use. Currently XXUEMKE but not getting 4G/LTE at all. Thanks.

I'm using MJ5 and also on 4.4.2 . Have you gone into the settings and switched band to LTE or 4G?

I went back to ME today as ML6 wasn't doing all that well so should be ok.

Make sure you have LTE switched on in mobile settings if it is then have a read here as there is a solution also all teh modems available.

Do a search of the forums here as there was a lot of discussion on the Telecom 4G thread about this but I think there was some issues with Kitkat  for some.

Thanks guys. Yea I have it set to LTE and am with Vodafone. I don't live within 4G coverage though so not a biggie. I'll test again tomorrow with a couple of different modems I guess. Are you guys using the modems starting with XXU? Just wanting to confirm sorry.

For those on Kitkat already and wanting a bit of customization  try Xposed framework , download the APK and install and it will give you options to install different modules like  gravity box and Wanam lite.  Its all very easy stuff and gives phone more functionality

Thanks. Tried to flash it but modem doesn't change. I flashed twice but no luck. Hmm. Used Odin 3.07 as well as 3.09. Just wondering if this has anything to do with the phone model now being recognised as i9505G. I wouldn't think so though as this is only the ROM seeing it as an i9505G right? I'll try another i9505 modem.

on kitkat, gravity box, wanam lite , greenify the rest i haven't played with only just installed yestewrday but used it on 4.3. Certainly makes the AOSP more usable for me

gravity box seems pretty good.
