I declared as per the invoice $349USD, so was somewhat bemused it got stopped.... so that just cost me another $118NZD, found that rather amusing as the invoice breakdown is

GST
Import transaction fee
GST on import transaction fee
Biosecurity levy
GST on Biosecurity Levy fee

oh and then a Customs WestPac Credit card transaction fee (which must have been GST inclusive as they didn't separate out the GST amount on it)...

don't you love user pays.

If you put down 349us and didn't get caught for GST then consider yourself lucky. If you go to what's my duty website it specifically tells you how much it will cost you.

There is no point in bringing it in via this way and might as well buy from PB tech with warranty.

I also declared the true USD price and slipped though just fine.

Looks like you may soon be able to buy the OnePlus One smartphone without an invite! - http://www.androidauthority.com/oneplus-one-abandoning-invites-517300/

Hey guys I am really worried about the import duty. If I declare it as $350 + $15 shipping, it will be over the $60 threshold. But if its $300 + $15 shipping then it is fine. Just wondering how much did you guys declare?

Good news! Was hoping for an invite to replace upgrade from my (3+ year old) Motorola Defy, but may just wait.

I will share invites if I receive some. I declared $299 for mine as $349 is going to sting with the GST. If you did not have to pay the GST, you were lucky it slipped through. Does happen from time to time. The US dollar also went down since batwing brought his one in. $349US may be under $400 mark but if you add shipping cost (from Oneplus One as well as you shop) it will exceed the threshold.

I didn't get charges for customs? I declared it for $349 USD... So far I am loving this sexy beast!

I think I did have a slight yellow band when I got it but it disappeared after some time.
