Yeah, luckily the vents in the Camry are on the top of the dash so it sits on feet with the clamp holding it in place rather than taking the weight. It works with the phone open or closed and I’ve even figured out how to use it without taking the S-Pen off.

Sits about the same height as seems to be the fashion for modern infotainment systems in cars.

The Samsung wireless charger I have used bedside for my last two Samsung phones seems to struggle to make much headway with the Fold. I don’t really want to have to buy a new charger, but I guess if I do I’ll go with the ‘Duo’ one that can charge the Watch 4 at the same time. Samsung are getting almost as good as Apple at bleeding you on the accessories.

I'm wondering if the main screen protector is removable.

I know about the original issues, but I thought they addressed that in the Fold2 by making the protective layer go under the screen bezel. This one's edges are clearly visible and don't go under the bezel, and seem to collect dust. That's why I wonder if it's a standard ootb protector sitting on top of the actual required protector.

Anyway I'll leave it alone until a brave or dumb YouTuber proves it one way or the other.

There is a note to say do not remove the screen protector. I assume it would void the warranty. As far as I can tell the protector you are talking about is the only one. The shipping one was black to avoid this confusion.

Yeah I assume it's the one you shouldn't remove, just interesting that it's not edge-to-edge and under the bezel like the "fixed" one was in the Fold2

I pre-ordered Z Fold 3 black 256gb through Noelleeming on the 2nd of September. Still awaiting delivery of the phone. Has anyone else ordered through Noelleeming? How long did you had to wait before delivery?

I pre-ordered through NL on 16 August but that was for a store pickup. They offered to home deliver due to lockdown, which I thought I had accepted. However, when I checked on 24 Sep (by phone), I was told it had been delivered the store (Westgate) the day before and I could do a contactless pickup from there. Which I did.

The fact you ordered a bit later than me may mean they are still waiting on stock.

Thanks for responding. Yeah, they don't have instock but then they keep telling me ETA is 1-2 weeks away for the last 2 weeks. I have seen some non-preorder stock in PBT so it's weird that pre-ordered customers are waiting while you can buy from a store without pre-order.

Still in absolute love with this device. The more I learn and try new things the better it gets.

I needed to use mine with Google Nav in its car mount today. The huge square display was great in that mode. The only downside so far is the Fold in the S-Pen case doesn’t fit in a couple of pockets I carried its predecessor in. But different pocket and using the G Watch 4 for simple messages is just as effective. It is heavy though.

i'm so impressed with how snappy this phone is .... coming from an S10 here .. but even so ... its like butter when multitasking, the wiping to expand from split back to full screen is So satifying

are there any downsides to enabling the 2nd physical sim?

It's dual sim dual standby, both sims will be on standby when idle but only one can be active. For example whe you are on call the other sim will be inactive, if you get call on other number at the same time it goes to voice-mail. But you can set data to be used from a particular sim (1 or 2). I believe you will also get option to choose which sim when making a call/sms.

There might be an impact on battery, though I'm jot certain.

S Pen Pro arrived today. Main benefit is I can use it on my Fold, S21, and Tab just by flicking the switch at the top between S Pen and Fold modes.

As a first time S-Pen user I am still finding a use for it with the ZF3. The S-Pen Pro appears to be substantially larger than the Fold Edition so I’m interested to see how practical it is to carry it. And I am still pootling around with my 3D printer for a better S-Pen case solution than the OEM one.

In the current movement restrictions I haven’t really been able to put the ZF3 through its paces in the way I anticipated when I ordered pre outbreak.

Anyone had any kind of update to their phone yet?  Mine says that it's running July 2021 security.
