I ordered on the 3rd and got an email on the 8th to say that the order has been processed. Normally once I get an email saying the order has been processed my phone ships out the next day... but not this time!

Hey there

When did you order? We did have a presale and a early shipment for pre-orders from the 2nd to the 8th. Anything after the 8th would be shipped when stock was available.

FWIW, my S23 Ultra came from Vodafone retail and I went through the same BAU process for customers.

That just sent a chill up my spine. I'm guessing my Spark pre-order, where they sent the wrong model, is now awaiting new stock, and they don't want to admit it. It's almost another week and so far no shipping info. Apparently, they shut down the logistics centre on Monday but this would also make sense.

Mine turned up on Tuesday afternoon. Spent Tuesday night doing the transfer over from the fold 4. Yesterday was first full day. Did not use it overly much yesterday apart from checking emails etc. However did a couple of car trips (10 minutes - 30 minutes each, wireless Android auto so was not plugged in) and an hour workout with music playing. Just before bed I still had over 80% battery.

Battery life on this thing is great

Thinking back I had the exact same issue with my Note 20.  The IMEI on my receipt doesn't match the one on my phone.  I think PB tech just make one up.  I have sent the trade in people a e-mail (sh-ap-nz-service-orders@cevalogistics.com) to log a ticket.  I love tickets.

I think this is just part of the standard way to make sure you don't get your $600.

I got a reply back saying they added my imei to the database so going to give this another go today.

Looks like Vodafone is out of stock as well. It's frustrating how they use ancient systems. If you order through the Samsung website, it tells you if something is out of stock and doesn't let you order it. If you do the order you can have peace of mind it will get shipped the next day and there is an online login to check progress regarding shipping. With vodafone all you can do is ring the onlineshop team in India and they just read off whatever it says on their screen. Had to go through Vodafone because of work but never again!!

Battery life on this thing is great

After it sitting in a box for nearly a week, I finally got a chance to swap over from my S20+ and after running for a couple of days, I can absolutely agree the battery life is a big step forward, and even the "slow" super fast charging 2.0 is plenty for me

I charged it to 100% and decided to see how long it goes for, and despite my constant range anxiety from the aforementioned phone, I'm currently sitting on 31% after 1d 19h and 5h SOT (lower than usual due to WFH). I'll be able to put it through its paces next week when I am on the road for work

While coming from a 3 year old phone is only a medium-ish jump at best, it just feels overall like a more polished version of everything I was already used to for better or worst. The combo of the SD processor and One UI 5 is really smooth, cool, and efficient. Main camera is not leaps and bounds better judging from the end result, but it takes good photos, so that is all I am concerned about. Having actual telescopic cameras and auto-focus on the ultrawide is a big step up though...

I really am hating the wallet though, the extra girth of the phone plus the case is just too bulky for me and the flappy front is annoying... and gathers pocket lint like a magnet. @maxinen the clear case looks much better, that isn't the gadget one, is it?

9 hour SOT yesterday, which included 2 hours on 4g.

Today so far 7.5 hour SOT with 21% left.

Update: Today I started with 85%.

Mine arrived today, also got the clear case with it to tie me over until better quality cases arrive from overseas.

Case is hard plastic and bloody difficult to take off.

Very snappy and apps open very fast, as expected I suppose as a brand new device.

Will see how it goes in the long run.

So, does anyone know if you do the Samsung offer for free storage upgrade and $250 voucher, if you can do pickup at a Samsung Kiosk in the mall?

That deal for storage upgrade ended a couple of days ago. You still get an e-voucher amount though.

Sadly it's not equivalent. It's $400 now where as before it was $250 and storage upgrade.

Sad face.

Thanks for the link.

It seems to be a mix of some things have been my standard config for my last 3 Samsung phones (animation to 0.5x, gestures, AOD, power button etc, scheduled DND). Another one I would recommend is disabling the unlock transition effect to make the fingerprint sensor a teeny bit more responsive feeling: biometrics > show unlock transition effect > disable

Big hell nah to the device protection scanning though... couldn't pay me to use McAfee

I'd also recommend looking at Good Lock too. The modules available for that really unlock some advanced customization
