Try going to settings > applications > all > and delete data from "Google Services Framework" then go back to update and see if it tells you its available. Might work

Hi to force check an update if you need try this

1? open your phone dialer
2? insert this number?*#*#2432546#*#* this mean?*#*#checkin#*#*
3? If every thing went ok, you will see an exclamation icon in your notification bar, and if you have an update pending you should be notified.

Oh well maybe another day or so and it will be there

I actually got a notification this morning of an update, thought I'd do a factory reset and format of SD card before hand though, once back in the update did not trigger again (still hasn't)

I'm on 2.3.6 here.

I know someone who did apply the update this morning, maybe they only send it out in the AM?

Yeah unfortunately the Nexus One isn't getting an official update to ics. Its kind of crap because there are almost completely functional ics ports for it so it is possible for the hardware to run it.

It's probably because the internal memory is a bit limited and would require a repartitioned hboot which would be too risky to do ota.

It's called the Galaxy Nexus which is stock ICS, you're just waiting for the latest ICS update :P

Sweet, I got the trigger again this morning, however the download failed at about 10% - stayed there for ages then failed after about 20minutes.

Am I right in thinking these updates won't use wifi even if it is available - or do they just trigger OTA and can then use any available internet?

I'm running the download again now, it appears to have stopped at 10% again.

Hi I think you would be better of on wifi. It is about 128mb in size from memory.

Though I only have her word for it, my daughter got 4.04 on her Nexus S about 2 weeks ago (she's in the US) and she said since then the GPS has not been that great.

As usual YMMV

Yeah as far as I can tell it was simply losing coverage during the download.

All up and running now, ICS is slick!

A hard reset can resolve many issues after upgrading to 4.0.x from 2.3.x

Gilco2: mine is the latest Nexus not the one or the S

Oh sorry you didn't specify I thought you meant the Nexus One. What I said is irrelevant then, ignore me :D
