My wife's Transformer EE was upraded to ICS about 2 months ago. It seemed to be problem free. But in the last few weeks I am noticing that it will random reboot. The device isn't rooted (of course!) and the only apps she runs are the browser, email, Skype and a few of the Angry Birds.

I see lots of posting on xda about this but I was wondering if local folks were experiencing this also. And what version of ICS are you running? My wife's is

Hi,

I am on the same boat.
I have noticed that the thing also hates running totally out of battery and it is sometimes a pain to get it to charge/boot when the battery is completely flat, especially if I try to plug in the dock while the table is docked in it...

Not sure if that's relevant...

Let's just hope Asus are coming up with some fixes soon...

Yes to the reboots since ICS update. They have reduced using two 'fixes' (individually). The application of a higher minimum cpu frequency using SetCPU (requires root) and also an app called 'WakeLock'. Both methods increase battery use by preventing deep sleep. Additionally I now turn wifi off before standbying my TF and I turn the whole thing off at night. Random reboots where the TF hangs on the boot screen are only occurring about once a week. I have given up checking the 'uptime' in settings to see how many other successful reboots have occurred.

Haven't had the battery problems that sidefx has suffered (yet). My TFs first birthday is October so if that happened to me it would be sent off to the warranty hospital.

The thing that puzzles me is that the reboots didn't start after the ICS update which was about 2 months ago or more now but recently. The date on the ROM suggests 0312 but I don't recall an update since then that looked like it was a Android update.

I am trying the setting of not having wifi on when the machine is in sleep mode to see if it helps.

Ours has been doing the same. Sometimes the restart will turn into a boot loop. And the last time it restarted all our data was lost. It had automatically factory restored itself.
Took it back and after a couple weeks they said they couldn't find any faults. Pretty frustrating having a device we can now no longer trust.

my transformer was flawless on Honeycombe but after the update to ICS and the updated fix, mine goes into a deep sleep that wont start again using the on/off button. I have to hold the button down for around 9 seconds and start, even then the Asus screen just sits there flashing and I have to do the long start process again. This happens a minium of twice a day. I should have left it on Honeycombe

I should add we only just picked ours back up today. It wasn't back before we went on holiday so we had to go without. It was dead flat so I charged it, turned it on while charging and it worked. Left it for a few hours. Just unplugged it from charger and now it's boot looping again.

Haven't even installed anything on it at all. And when I say I used it, all I did was go into settings and see what android version it was running. I guess I will take it back tomorrow only to have nothing happen again.

Well just saw another problem for the first time others have reported. The device was on all day but I wasn't looking at it. Picked it up and noticed it was stuck on the boot screen. But it was booted and active when I left this morning.

Required a long press of the power button to get it back.

Hopefully Asus will find a fix soon for this.

Yeah, I was asking you but no worries. I have a telstra supplied dynalink and occasionally the tablet freaks out and goes into a boot loop, apparently these particular routers don't play nice.
I end up logging into my S2 via wifi hotspot then back into the modem, seems to work.

There was a small update a few weeks ago OTA, didn't pay much attention to what it was but I'd already been updated to 4.0.3.

I am pleased to report that since the latest update mine is back to it's old (pre ICS) self with regards to stable wifi and no deep sleep issues and no reboots. Also no further need for wakelock
