Hi,

I'm looking for a mobile phone (used) for mostly Wifi feeding for a tablet and a laptop.

I have tried R201, however I still need to receive txt and make a few calls.

Could you suggest any mobile model that is cheap (less than $200) in used condition?

Best regards

Heesang

HTC Wildfire S.

I don't know what the current price is, but have seen it under $200 recently. Its got surprisingly good range and can do N too.
You'll just have to be careful you don't get an XT version if you want 900MHz support or VF/2degrees version if you want 850MHz support.

You'd have to double check that the 2x telecom phones don't have wifi hotspot locked by telecom.  WIldfire S @ $199 prob the best telecom one.

When they (the phones) are that cheap where is the market for those MiFi style devices?

Thats a good question. Having the phone and being able to check balance, top-up, use widgets etc, I just don't know how those other devices can compare.

Two major reason being MiFi stuff good for..

1. Battery life , feeding wifi more than 5 hours...
2. Great for foreign tourists for rental
