I am going to search around and find a new phone for my wife.

Phone Arena has a pretty comprehensive phone finder, but there are a lot of phones which are available in the USA only on it, so I was looking for one better suited to this region even if they are gray imported.

Needs a reasonable set of filters to narrow down the options.

Needs to be up to date and reflect phones quite recently released as well, or better still coming soon :)

Anyone recommend a good one?

On the list of requirements:

Android 2.3 minimum but upgradeable to ICS
Very good 3.7-4.0" Screen (She wants something small and light since she has small hands)
SD Card or similar media slot
16GB Minimum
1Ghz or Better processor
5MP Camera with decent flash that is quick
Front Facing camera
Ideally has unlocked bootloader so custom roms are available.
Under $750

She has a Motorola Defy which she likes, but the Speakerphone on it is garbage and that's a deal breaker

Thanks

I guess you could use pricespy.co.nz Not made for phones only, but does list them.
A rough filtering of your options brings these results: http://pricespy.co.nz/category.php?k=103#rparams=l=s86695607

Just looking at that you'd be best looking at the HTC One V or the Huawei Ascend G 300, the HTC is bound to have better developer support for custom ROMs. Saying that it doesn't have the 16 GB internal storage or the front facing camera.

Look into the Sony Xperia Neo perhaps? Either way, you'll have to compromise somewhere
