Well, there aren't really many Droids that are available here. We do get the Milestones, I think, which are the international versions of the Droid.

I think the Droid 3 has a removable battery and will work on XT here.

The international version is coming though, so will soon be available (possibly only via parallel importers though).

Would probably still stay clear in any case, locked bootloaders.

Yeah, this is an issue with all the Droid's though. Motorola keep promising to unlock them, but never seem to get around to it.

I messaged one of the buyers at Digi Imports in Queen st.
They are purchasing this Friday and the Droid Razr Maxx will be considered.

Battery life is the achilles of all smartphones and this phone is in the line for ice cream sandwich, which has been confirmed.

Razr is big... I guess it's how it gets it's thin. Physically it's but a few mm shorter than an HTC One X but with a smaller screen.
Motorola actually do a pretty good job in putting a bit more battery power in their handsets (for a given screen size) Probably best current bang-for-buck device would be a DEFY+, the smaller (3.7in) screen won't burn the power like the larger screen options from other makers yet it's got a bigger power pack than most of them

It really depends on how you use the phone.

To be on the safe side, carry a spare battery so there's no compromising!

I don't like this but it seems to be the way things are going.

Maybe we will see improvement and innovation around the PowerMonkey and similar.

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?

I hope Samsung hasn't done this with the SGSIII . The abilty is swop out batteries is one of Samsungs main selling points. I use my spare battery a lot. Very useful.

Samsung have made the SGSIII mains only, no battery at all.
