Just reading on Acer's Facebook page that some are getting Ice Cream Sandwich now. Has anyone in NZ updated to it yet?

A501 here, and no updates showing yet.... Didn't Acer NZ say late April for ICS?

I have an A200 and we got ICS a while back. Not overly impressed although there was some minor changes it wasn't up to the hype so flashed a custom rom (CM9 variant for A500,200,100) which has improved it immensely.

haven't tried facelock as I heard it was buggy

I used simple root on a200 which is at above link but same forum will have root instructions for all the other Iconia's

Erk, you are right, silly me for assuming that the 501 and the 500 would get it at the same time... Will just have to be patient then I guess!

Mine is randomly rebooting now, getting annoying. It wasnt doing it before the ICS update

Was it completely stock before you upgraded? Have you tried a factory reset?
