Im now using a Samsung Galaxy Y, which is so much nicer to use than the IDEOS 8150 I had before, but, the IDEOS didnt have this issue....

Phone is connected to Wifi, and while Im actively using the phone, everything works fine. Notifications etc come in and alert me and so on... but soon as the phone idles, the wifi seems to stop working.  Soon as I "wake" the phone up, all these notifications flood in. Which is extremely annoying especially if Im waiting on an email.... 

Ive set the phone to never turn off the wifi, tried BladeWifi all to no avail...  my IDEOS never had this issue.

Cellular data is disabled (on prepay, cant afford to keep topping up :) ).
Running Gingerbread 2.3.6 - not modified in any way.

Any ideas ?
